Project Landscape Architect – Brisbane RPS is a leading consultancy with a thriving Landscape Architecture team who are redefining the relationship between natural and built environments. Our award-winning Brisbane team is growing and we are seeking a Project Landscape Architect to join our Fortitude Valley based studio. You will play a vital role in delivering innovative and practical design solutions that enhance the places where people live, work and connect. As part of a multidisciplinary business, you will collaborate with colleagues across urban design, planning, survey, project management, economics, heritage and environmental consulting, giving you the opportunity to contribute to integrated, end-to-end project outcomes. You will contribute to the full landscape design process across a range of projects, with a strong focus on urban regeneration and public realm design. Our Brisbane portfolio includes high-profile, award-winning projects such as: Fish Lane Town Square Riviere, Kangaroo Point Billubera Park and Open Space, Yarrabilba Fortitude Valley State Secondary College About the Role You will be responsible for supporting project delivery from concept through to construction documentation, ensuring design quality, creativity and efficiency across all stages. Key responsibilities include: Preparing design documentation, including: Computer-based plans (AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign) Hand-drawn sketches and concept illustrations Reports, specifications and cost estimates Contributing to project design development and documentation to meet client expectations and deadlines Monitoring project progress, identifying potential issues and assisting in finding practical design solutions Supporting senior staff with client liaison and project coordination Engaging with internal teams and external stakeholders including consultants, contractors and government agencies Who You Are A tertiary qualification in Landscape Architecture (BBE) or equivalent, ideally recognised by the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA) 5+ years’ experience in landscape architecture within a professional practice Strong design and technical documentation skills with proficiency in AutoCAD, InDesign and Photoshop (Revit, SketchUp and Lumion advantageous) Proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment An unrestricted Australian driver’s licence Citizenship, permanent residency or full-time work rights in Australia (sponsorship is not available for this role) What’s on Offer RPS offers a collaborative and inclusive work environment within an award-winning design team, alongside a range of benefits that support your professional growth and well-being: Flexible work arrangements Annual professional membership reimbursement Paid parental and partner leave $250 Active Lifestyle Allowance per annum Additional annual leave purchase scheme and salary packaging Professional and technical development programs including study assistance and online learning Active social clubs, Employee Assistance Program, and Service Recognition If you are passionate about creating meaningful, sustainable and inspiring places and are ready to take the next step in your career, apply today to join our Brisbane Landscape Architecture team.
