Senior / Lead Business Analyst - BFSI

We are seeking an experienced Senior / Lead Business Analyst to join our BFSI practice, acting as a key liaison between development and business partners across the software development lifecycle. In this role, you will work directly with clients and stakeholders to elicit requirements, propose functional solutions and drive Agile delivery while serving as a trusted advisor across complex projects.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between development and business partners throughout SDLC projects
  • Work directly with client and business stakeholders for requirements elicitation, proposing feasible functional solutions, supporting acceptance testing, getting client buy-in and conflict handling
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to client and business stakeholders
  • Collaborate with development stakeholders on requirements feasibility discussions, elaboration, ambiguity resolution, clarifications, test scenario review, test result review and conflict handling
  • Document requirements of a software system and manage requirements with end-to-end traceability
  • Run workshops with business users and summarise the action items
  • Drive the Agile process and ceremonies
  • Write needed stories based upon the Sprint/PI goals
  • Facilitate requirement gathering for data movement and needs
  • Diagram complex processes to allow for simpler discussions
  • Guide teams in their efforts to meet prescribed goals
  • Gather requirements and information needed to stand up a cloud environment

Requirements

  • 6 to 15 years of experience in business analysis, requirement gathering and stakeholder management
  • Background in working on SDLC projects as a liaison between development and business partners
  • Expertise in documentation of software system requirements and requirements management with end-to-end traceability
  • Proficiency in xJira, Rally ALM, TFS or ServiceNow or similar project/change management tools for feature/epic description, user stories and acceptance criteria using Gherkin BDD approach
  • SDLC experience in most Agile frameworks, at least one among SCRUM, Kanban, Scrum Ban or SAFe
  • Understanding of Agile process and ceremonies
  • Skills in creating BRD and FRD
  • Background in any of the leading domains like BFSI, Insurance, Payments, Capital Markets or Investment Banking
