Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Lead Python Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Python, Django Framework, Django MVT Architecture, and Django REST Framework (DRF).

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in developing scalable web applications, building RESTful APIs, optimizing database queries, and handling end-to-end backend development.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python and Django.
• Develop web applications using Django MVT (Model–View–Template) architecture.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs using Django REST Framework (DRF).
• Work with Django ORM, Class-Based Views (CBV), Function-Based Views (FBV), and Django Templates.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries using PostgreSQL or MySQL databases.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
• Improve application performance through caching, database optimization, and efficient coding.
• Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve production application issues.
• Perform code reviews, guide junior developers, and take ownership of backend development activities.

Mandatory Technical Skills

• Python: Strong hands-on experience in core Python programming.
• Django Framework: Extensive experience developing Django-based web applications.
• Django MVT: Strong understanding of Models, Views, Templates, and Template Inheritance.
• Django REST Framework (DRF): Hands-on experience developing RESTful APIs.
• Django ORM: Query optimization, database relationships, and migrations.
• SQL Databases: PostgreSQL / MySQL.
• Backend Development: API integrations, authentication, authorization, and debugging.
• Linux & Git: Working knowledge of development and deployment environments.
• Technical Leadership: Code reviews, mentoring, and backend development ownership.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 6–10 years of overall software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in Python and Django backend development.
• Proven experience developing production-grade Django web applications.
• Good understanding of REST APIs, database optimization, and backend architecture.
• Ability to independently handle development activities and technical challenges.
• Experience in code reviews and mentoring developers.

Important Note:

This position is strictly for Python & Django Backend Development.

We are not hiring for AI/ML, Generative AI, Data Science, LLM, or Prompt Engineering positions.

Candidates should have strong hands-on Python and Django application development experience.
