Summary
Lead backend engineering for cloud-based financial systems, building microservices in Java/Go and mentoring engineers while collaborating with product teams.
- Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers
- Create solutions that meet regulatory needs for Capital One
- Build distributed microservices and full-stack systems

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply
- At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud
- Master’s Degree preferred
- 9+ years of experience in Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js preferred
- 3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service preferred
- 4+ years of experience in open-source frameworks preferred
- 1+ years of people management experience preferred
- 2+ years of experience in Agile practices preferred
- Experience leveraging interactive AI tooling beyond basic code completion preferred
