The “Reduce TMC Variants” project
This project aims to migrate all Talend legacy environments to Qlik-managed environments. This project implies upgrading and migrating all components managed by the Network and Runtime team.
The SRE Role
Join Qlik teams responsible for operating mission-critical components and applications in production as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE).
Your foundational contributions will empower global R&D teams to deliver highly scalable, efficient, observable, and resilient micro-services, supporting mission-critical use cases for thousands of high-profile customers worldwide. As part of our technological evolution, your work will shape the growth and success of our cloud ecosystem.
The teams
We are looking for a contractor to support the Network and Runtime team during this transition.

What makes this mission interesting?
AWS/Azure and Kubernetes infrastructure components that require the handling of advanced networking concepts and a strong understanding of application routing mechanisms in Kubernetes.
Work with a cutting-edge technology stack: Terraform, Kubernetes, SignalSciences WAF, Gloo API Gateway, Traefik Proxy, Vault, Banyan Zero-Trust Access, Kyverno, Karpenter, Flux, ArgoCD, Splunk, Grafana.
All the tooling is mainly based on Kubernetes and managed with ArgoCD. For complex operations, we used Terraform. You will use day-to-day industry-standard tools

Mission-critical product: Upholding the availability, scalability, and reliability of a widely used and popular SaaS application

DevOps / SRE culture: Develop and advocate for cloud-based optimization strategies and best practices.

Expected skills
Proven experience with cloud infrastructure and platforms, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or other IaaS/PaaS providers.
Proven experience working with Terraform and Kubernetes (including experience with Helm, Flux, Traefik, Gloo, and AKS/EKS).
Proven experience working with GitOps deployment tools (Flux, ArgoCD or equivalent)
Familiar with Splunk or any similar log management technology (ELK, Dynatrace…)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Experience working in high-availability environments (targeting an SLA of 99.5% or higher) is a plus.
Strong ownership and initiative, with the ability to proactively identify and tackle technical challenges.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team.

Job responsibilities
Update, complete, document, and test the migration procedures for all current Talend-side network components: AWS Networking, SignalSciences WAF, Gloo API Gateway, Traefik Proxy, Vault, Banyan Zero-Trust Access, Kyverno, Karpenter, Flux. The tooling and troubleshooting tools will require working with Terraform and Kubernetes.
Develop Splunk and Grafana dashboards for auditing, visualizations, and effective monitoring of the migration.
