A Level C academic is expected to make significant contributions to the teaching effort of a discipline, school, faculty or other organisational unit or an interdisciplinary area. An academic at this level is also expected to play a major role in scholarship, research and/or professional activities. Specifically, the Senior Lecturer should lead a research activity appropriate to the discipline, and maintain the highest standards of research ethics and integrity. The staff should also deliver a wide range of effective teaching and develop innovative ways to enhance the learning environment. In addition to maintaining excellence in both research and teaching, an academic staff at this level is expected to provide support and contribute to academic leadership, mentoring junior colleagues,
fostering research collaboration, and engaging with industry and interdisciplinary initiatives.
