Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate procurement, equipment supply, EPC, construction, lease, services, colocation, and interconnection agreements.
- Lead contract negotiations with vendors, contractors, landlords, customers, and service providers.
- Provide practical legal support to project, construction, procurement, and operations teams.
- Develop and maintain contract templates, playbooks, and standard negotiating positions.
- Conduct legal research and monitor legal and regulatory developments in Singapore and Malaysia.
- Identify and help mitigate legal and compliance risks.
- Coordinate with and manage external counsel and other service providers.
Requirements
- Law degree such as an LL.B., J.D., or equivalent.
- 8+ years of post-qualification legal experience, ideally across a leading law firm and in-house legal department.
- Ability to independently draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements.
- Familiarity with Singapore and/or Malaysia legal and regulatory requirements.
- Admission to the Singapore or Malaysia Bar, or another relevant common law jurisdiction, is preferred.
- Experience with data center, infrastructure, construction/EPC, real estate and leasing, energy, procurement, technology, or outsourcing transactions is strongly preferred.
- Strong commercial judgment, legal drafting, analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder-management, and collaboration skills.
- Proactive, solution-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
