Senior Legal Counsel - Insurance
This fast growing regulatory body in Hong Kong is hiring a senior legal counsel to join its team. Reporting to the General Counsel, this key role will:
- Advise on legislation and compliance requirements relating to life insurance products
- Advise on insurance transactions and requisite authorisations for Hong Kong based insurers
- Provide legal support on innovation in insurance (for eg, AI, insurtech and regulations)
- Work closely with other departments to ensure regulatory compliance and advise on operational matters
- Advise on internal policies and procedures
To qualify:
- 10+ PQE with a regulatory body, leading law firm or insurance company or financial services sector
- Excellent knowledge of insurance and financial services laws and regulations
- Experience of life insurance/reinsurance regulatory requirements and corporate structures and insurtech exposure is highly advantageous
- Excellent team player with commercial and practical mindset and stakeholder management skills required
- Fluency in both English and Cantonese is necessary
