Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager

Discussion
Wyze is looking for a Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager to own the strategy and execution of the full customer journey—from the moment someone unboxes their first Wyze device through becoming a loyal, multi-camera subscriber. You’ll set the lifecycle roadmap, identify the highest-impact opportunities, and turn those opportunities into automated journeys that connect hardware ownership to subscription value.

You’ll be responsible for how customers experience Wyze after purchase across email, SMS, push, and in-app messaging. You’ll spend real time in Klaviyo building flows, writing copy, defining segments, running experiments, and analyzing results—but you’ll also zoom out to shape the customer journey, align partners around priorities, and build a repeatable lifecycle growth engine.

This is the right role for someone who can move fluidly between strategy and execution: someone who enjoys being in the weeds, has strong judgment about what to prioritize, and can independently turn an ambiguous business problem into a clear plan, a shipped program, and measurable learning.

What You'll Do
  • Own the lifecycle strategy and customer journey. Set and prioritize the roadmap across onboarding, activation, repeat purchase, cross-sell, subscription adoption, upgrade, retention, winback, and churn prevention. Design a connected experience that moves customers from first purchase toward multi-camera ownership and long-term subscription value.
  • Build and operate high-impact programs. Own the end-to-end execution of lifecycle flows in Klaviyo across email, SMS, push, and in-app messaging—from triggers, events, segmentation, personalization, and copy through QA, launch, monitoring, and iteration. Stabilize the recently migrated foundation, then continuously improve its health and performance.
  • Lead experimentation and optimization. Establish a consistent testing cadence, develop clear hypotheses, use sound control groups and success metrics, and turn results into action. Improve activation, attach, upgrade, retention, repeat purchase, and subscriber growth through smarter journeys, offers, timing, creative, and channel mix.
  • Turn customer data into decisions. Partner with BI and Services Product to define cohorts, size opportunities, instrument key events, and connect lifecycle performance to business outcomes. Communicate what happened, why it matters, and what the team should do next.
  • Align partners and create leverage. Work with product, services, merchandising, ecommerce, and operations teams so onsite and lifecycle experiences function as one journey. Build reusable documentation, templates, standards, and reporting rhythms that make the function more scalable and effective.

What You’ll Bring
  • Lifecycle ownership. 4+ years of experience in lifecycle, CRM, retention, growth, or email marketing, with meaningful ownership of customer journeys, programs, or a lifecycle roadmap—not just campaign production.
  • Hands-on platform expertise. Experience building and maintaining automated, multi-step programs in a customer engagement platform. Klaviyo is strongly preferred; Braze, Iterable, Customer.io, or similar tools are relevant.
  • Data and experimentation judgment. You can define a useful hypothesis, set up a sound test, interpret performance and customer segments, size an opportunity, and make a clear recommendation about what to do next.
  • Cross-functional influence. You can align product, services, BI, ecommerce, and operations partners and move work forward when priorities, inputs, or ownership are not fully defined.
  • Strong communication and execution. You write clear, on-brand copy; manage multiple programs and launches with strong attention to detail; and communicate results, tradeoffs, and next steps effectively.
  • Curiosity and ownership. You care deeply about why customers buy, activate, stay, and leave. You identify problems, make thoughtful tradeoffs, use AI tools to improve your work, and stay accountable for outcomes.
Nice to Have
  • Deep hands-on experience with Klaviyo flows, segmentation, event logic, personalization, and A/B testing.
  • Experience in consumer hardware, smart home, IoT, ecommerce, or another product ecosystem with multiple purchase and engagement moments.
  • Experience in a hardware-plus-software subscription environment, or another business where physical products and recurring services are tightly linked.
  • Basic HTML/CSS skills for email template customization and light troubleshooting.
  • Experience partnering with ecommerce merchandising, site operations, product, or analytics teams to connect onsite experience with lifecycle programs.
  • Experience mentoring teammates or establishing lifecycle operating standards, templates, or reporting practices.

AI & How You’ll Work
At Wyze, we expect this role to be at the forefront of how AI changes marketing workflows. This isn’t optional or aspirational - it’s a core expectation of the job.

We want someone who:
Uses AI writing and ideation tools to move faster on copy, campaign concepts, and brief development - so more time goes toward strategy, testing, and analysis, not production.
  • Actively explores and adopts AI-assisted workflow tools as they emerge - smarter segmentation, automated personalization, faster QA - and brings back what actually works.
  • Thinks critically about where AI adds real leverage in the customer journey versus where human judgment and creativity are irreplaceable.
  • Is willing to experiment, fail fast, and share what they learn - this team is building new ways of working in real time.

We don’t expect you to have all the answers on how AI will reshape lifecycle marketing - nobody does. We do expect intellectual curiosity, a bias toward action, and a genuine interest in figuring it out. Strong systems-thinkers wanted.
