Senior Linux System Administrator

We are hiring for our partner — an international crypto payments company — and are looking for a strong Senior Linux System Administrator to join their production infrastructure team.

You’ll work on a B2B crypto payments product, supporting reliable and secure production infrastructure. This is a hands-on role focused on Linux, networking, infrastructure troubleshooting, system performance, and production stability.

This is not a Helpdesk, Windows/M365, or end-user support position.

What you’ll do

• Administer and maintain production Linux servers
• Perform L3 troubleshooting across Linux, networking, services, and databases
• Monitor and troubleshoot CPU, memory, disk, I/O wait, inodes, load average, and systemd
• Work with TCP/IP, routing, NAT, firewalls, and traffic management
• Configure and support OpenVPN / WireGuard
• Work with iptables / nftables
• Administer and troubleshoot MikroTik
• Support PostgreSQL / MySQL, including backups, restores, users, and basic diagnostics
• Investigate incidents and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
• Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge bases
• Perform production changes carefully with change plans, backups/snapshots, and rollback procedures
• Automate routine tasks using Bash, Python, or Ansible

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years of Linux system administration experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Ubuntu / Debian / CentOS
• Confident with systemd, journalctl, dmesg
• Strong performance troubleshooting skills: OOM, CPU pressure, I/O wait, disk pressure, inodes
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing, NAT, and firewalls
• Experience with OpenVPN or WireGuard
• Experience with iptables or nftables
• Hands-on experience with MikroTik
• Experience supporting PostgreSQL / MySQL, including backup and restore
• Understanding of production safety and change management
• Experience with RCA / problem management
• English sufficient for reading technical documentation

• Ansible
• Bash / Python scripting
• Nginx / HAProxy
• Experience with highload, crypto, fintech, payments, hosting, or telecom
