Senior LLM Engineer (LLM & AI Solutions) - Remote (Europe)

We are seeking an experienced Senior LLM Engineer to to lead the development of cutting-edge AI and Large Language Model (LLM) solutions.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping data science strategy, building production-grade AI products, and delivering business value through innovative machine learning and agentic AI technologies.

Remit

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI and machine learning solutions.
• Build and optimise LLM-powered applications, workflows, and agentic AI systems.
• Develop scalable machine learning models and production-ready data pipelines.
• Drive improvements in LLM performance, accuracy, and cost efficiency.
• Create evaluation frameworks and feedback loops to continuously improve AI outputs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to identify opportunities for AI-driven innovation.
• Translate complex technical concepts into actionable business insights.
• Contribute to the organisation's wider data science and AI strategy.

Skills

• 8+ years' experience in Data Science.
• 3+ years' commercial experience delivering LLM-based solutions.
• Strong expertise with modern language models, machine learning frameworks, and AI applications.
• Proven experience delivering complex AI or Data Science projects from concept through to production.
• Hands-on experience building AI agents across multiple LLMs and platforms.
• Strong knowledge of prompt engineering, fine-tuning, evaluation frameworks, and feedback training pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python and other modern programming languages.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Experience

• Experience with Spark, Hadoop, Data Lakes, or Data Warehousing technologies.
• Strong understanding of data architecture and data engineering best practices.
• Knowledge of accounting, finance, or bookkeeping processes would be highly advantageous.
• Demonstrable success delivering agentic AI projects into production environments.
