Senior Logistics Solution Manager
I. Job Summary
The Senior Logistics Solution Manager provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for WM Logistics routing functions, route maintenance activities, process governance, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is responsible for establishing enterprise routing standards, optimizing route performance, driving process consistency, and ensuring scalable execution across the Logistics organization. The position leads teams responsible for route optimization, route maintenance, routing analytics, process design, and operational standardization. Working closely with Operations, Logistics, Fleet, Sales, Customer Experience, and Digital teams, the Senior Manager develops and implements solutions that improve route efficiency, service reliability, customer experience, and operational performance.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Establishes the enterprise strategy and roadmap for routing, route maintenance, and logistics process improvement.
- Develops long-term operational objectives aligned with WM Logistics business priorities and growth initiatives.
- Identifies opportunities to improve routing performance, route health, service execution, and operational efficiency.
- Establishes performance metrics and operational controls to ensure route efficiency, consistency, and sustainability.
- Owns the development, documentation, governance, and continuous improvement of logistics processes.
- Drives continuous evaluation of route structures, balancing customer service, operational efficiency, safety, and financial objectives.
- Leverages operational analytics, routing data, and business intelligence tools to identify trends and optimization opportunities.
- Supports development of future-state routing capabilities, artificial intelligence, and advanced optimization technologies.
- Promotes a culture of process ownership, continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence.
III. Qualifications
A. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (accredited) or in lieu of degree
- High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four years of relevant work experience.
- 10+ years of relevant work experience in the waste, environmental services, energy, or transportation industry (in addition to education requirement). and
- 5 years of supervisory or management experience (in addition to education requirement).

PAY: The expected base pay range for this position across the U.S. is $135,300 - $179,300. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
