Senior M&E Engineer
Summary
Senior M&E Engineer coordinates mechanical and electrical systems installation, testing, and commissioning for construction projects, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and safety protocols.
Our client is one of Singapore’s leading A1 civil contracting firm which has a strong construction portfolio in public sector and private projects. Due to project expansion they are looking for multiple M&E Engineer / Senior M&E Engineer to manage building projects.
- Job Description:
- To coordinate with consultants / subcontractors on the shop drawings / samples / method statements submission and approval and keep all involved parties updated of the latest changes.
- To attend project / technical meeting and resolve site and technical issues with owner/ consultants for the site progress to proceed smoothly.
- To verify the work done on site is in accordance with the approved drawings / specifications/ authorities’ requirement and ensure that the subcontractors carry out rectification for non-compliance.
- Conduct minimally weekly M&E meetings with the M&E subcontractors to ensure that their work is in proper sequence and ensure that the site supervisors are aware of the work sequence to avoid clashes of site activities.
- To resolve site issues with consultants /subcontractors / supplier timely to prevent delay to the construction progress.
- To ensure that the proper documentation is always kept up to date for proper records and operational needs of the project.
- To cooperate with the safety department and carry out the assigned duties within the safety framework including permit to work.
- To coordinate with consultants and contractors for equipment and combined services testing so that site is ready for authorities’ inspection.
Prepare M&E progress report or any other reports required by the client or consultants.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant M&E construction experience.
- Experience working with Main Contractors or M&E Contractors.
- Proven experience in M&E systems installation, coordination, testing and commissioning.
- Experience managing M&E works for commercial, industrial, mixed development or institutional projects.
- Experience in Addition & Alteration(A&A) works and projects within live operational environments.
- Strong communication, coordination and stakeholder management skills.
- Able to work independently and drive project deliverables with minimal supervision.
