About the project
The project is a large-scale cloud platform providing hosted macOS environments for engineering and development workflows. As part of the Infrastructure team, you will help operate and improve the reliability, automation, and scalability of Mac and Linux infrastructure.
You’ll work across macOS fleet management, virtualization, cloud infrastructure, networking, automation, monitoring, and incident troubleshooting. The role is highly hands-on and involves working closely with infrastructure and platform teams to improve operational efficiency and platform reliability.
Requirements
- At least 5+ years of relevant experience as an Infrastructure, Systems, Platform, or DevOps Engineer
- Strong commercial experience with macOS administration and Linux systems administration
- Strong scripting experience with AppleScript, Bash, and/or ZSH
- Strong understanding of infrastructure automation, troubleshooting, and production operations
- Experience performing OS and software upgrades at scale
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a remote or distributed team
- Experience with Anka or other virtualization platforms
- Experience with Azure and/or AWS networking and infrastructure
- Experience with Docker and infrastructure automation
- Experience with Datadog, Kusto, Redis, SQLite, or Service Bus
- Experience with performance testing and telemetry analysis
- Experience with Go, .NET, or other programming languages
- Experience with large-scale fleet management and cloud-hosted macOS environments
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain Mac and Linux infrastructure supporting large-scale cloud-hosted macOS environments
- Perform macOS image creation, upgrades, validation, and large-scale rollouts
- Support virtualization platforms and related tooling
- Diagnose and resolve platform, networking, hardware, and service reliability issues
- Develop operational automation using AppleScript, Bash, and other scripting technologies
- Monitor fleet health, analyze logs and telemetry, and perform root cause analysis of incidents
- Support Azure or AWS infrastructure, networking, and operational processes
- Develop and maintain infrastructure automation and operational workflows
- Drive security, compliance, and dependency management initiatives
- Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve troubleshooting and operational efficiency
- Overlapping with ET or PT timezone daily is a must
