Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Summary

The Senior Machine Learning Engineer will build and deploy scalable ML systems into production environments using Python and TensorFlow. The role focuses on the full lifecycle of ML models, including development, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance using TFX.

Salary: £58,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements:
  • 4+ years of relevant, hands-on Machine Learning Engineering experience
  • Strong commercial experience with TensorFlow
  • Hands-on experience with TFX (TensorFlow Extended) and production ML pipelines
  • Experience taking ML models from development through to production deployment
  • Strong understanding of MLOps, model serving, monitoring and maintenance
  • Experience building scalable ML systems in production environments
  • Strong Python skills
  • Experience with recommendation systems, personalisation, ranking algorithms or high-volume/real-time data would be beneficial, but is not essential
  • Experience with TensorFlow Serving, Triton, TorchServe, Scala or production GenAI applications would also be advantageous
  • You must already have the right to work in the UK for the duration of the 12-month contract, as sponsorship is not available for this position
Responsibilities:
  • Designing, training and optimising machine learning models using TensorFlow
  • Building and maintaining scalable ML pipelines using TFX
  • Deploying and serving models within production environments
  • Monitoring and maintaining ML systems to ensure reliability and performance
  • Working with large-scale structured and unstructured datasets
  • Contributing to experimentation and continuous model improvement
  • Collaborating with engineering, data and product teams to deliver ML solutions that solve real business problems

We are offering a Senior Machine Learning Engineer opportunity for an experienced ML Engineer to build, deploy and operate production-grade machine learning systems at scale. This is a hands-on ML Engineering role rather than a GenAI-focused position, covering the full machine learning lifecycle from model development and training through to pipelines, deployment, serving, monitoring and ongoing optimisation. The role is a 12-month FTC based in West London with a hybrid working pattern of 2 days onsite. The package is £60,000.
