About the Opportunity

We are seeking experienced Mainframe Application Developers / Technical Specialists for contract opportunities supporting critical Northern Territory Government mainframe applications and services.

These roles offer the opportunity to work on important government systems, contribute to complex application development and support activities, and be part of a collaborative technical environment.

Location: Darwin CBD - On-site.
Clearances required: NPC, NTPF166 and NT WWC.

Key Responsibilities

• Planning, coordinating, developing, testing, and delivering complex system releases across development, testing, and production environments
• Developing and maintaining technical, operational, and procedural documentation
• Supporting and maintaining mainframe application codebases
• Providing Level 3 technical support for critical business information systems
• Working on integration projects and advising stakeholders on system impacts
• Building strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Escalating technical risks and issues to management where required

Essential Skills & Experience

We are looking for candidates with demonstrated experience across the application development lifecycle, including development methodologies and Integrated Development Environments (IDEs).

Experience with a combination of the following mainframe technologies is highly desirable:

• Application development lifecycle methodologies and Integrated Development Environments (IDEs)
• Mainframe technologies including:
  • COBOL
  • CICS
  • TSO
  • QMF
  • ISPF
  • JCL
  • DB2
  • SQL
  • EGL
  • BIRT

Experience in mainframe modernisation using Rocket LegaSuite products will also be highly regarded. Candidates with experience in the following web technologies are encouraged to apply:

• Sitecore
