Senior Maintenance Engineer (Rotating)

KBR Abu Dhabi is currently seeking a qualified Senior Engineer, Maintenance (Rotating) to support one of the ADNOC projects. Profiles matching the criteria below only will be contacted.
Job purpose:
Provide technical expertise in the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, overhaul and shutdowns to maintain rotating equipment effectively and efficiently to achieve a high degree of availability, reliability and integrity for plant production.
Key responsibilities:
- Supervise the installation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and modification activities of rotating equipment in the plant to ensure safe and efficient services.
- Review preventive maintenance plans/schedules and prepare task lists/maintenance programmes for rotating equipment in the plant and supervise the execution of such programmes.
- Provide guidance and advice on actions to be taken on chronic problems, and review requirements for major repair and spares replacements to ensure that all equipment is in accordance with internationally recognized engineering standards.
- Participate in risk assessment exercises and prepare recommendations and guidelines to address the mitigations and controls.
- Ensure availability of spares, coordinate and follow up new material orders. Create new proposals for stocking spares (PFS) mainly for new equipment, create item change requests, manage spare parts control, and delete unwanted inventories from the stock.
- Prepare new maintenance procedures and method statements for new activities and schedule long-term activities as per plant shutdown schedules.
- Plan and coordinate maintenance activities with other departments and sections to optimize the utilization of section manpower and to plan and control the major and minor shutdown activities and expenditures.
- Provide technical support for development, implementation and commissioning of new projects in the mechanical design and specifications to optimize costs and ensure compliance with applicable standards and best practices.
- Prepare new plant change requests (PCR), study the proposed PCR for implementation and work out plans and schedules for implementing them.
- Participate in HAZOP review and SIL validation meetings.
- Carry out studies for major rotating equipment frequent failures and provide recommendations.
- Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents related to rotating equipment and provide findings and recommendations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree is a must.
- Minimum overall 15+ years of experience in execution of EPC contracts in the oil and gas industry, of which minimum 8 years in engineering and maintenance of rotating equipment within a large industrial organization.
- Experience in gas processing/NGL and EPC/detail engineering projects.
- Extensive experience in rotating equipment design, engineering, construction, maintenance and operation in the oil and gas industry.
- Familiarity with international design codes and standards, with the ability to prepare design, procurement, construction, (pre) commissioning and hand-over specification packages for rotating equipment.
- Familiarity with the capabilities and shortcomings of major rotating equipment manufacturers, and a proven track record of conducting technical and commercial negotiations with them.
- Knowledge of HSE procedures and practices, planning and organizing, scheduling and coordinating, checking, examining and recording.
- Must have handled mega oil and gas FEED/EPC projects (more than 1 billion US$).
