Senior Manager (Applications and Product Management) | Alexandra Road

• Lead the development and delivery of digital solutions and services supporting port regulatory, shipping, and corporate functions.

• Working closely with business analyst, UX designers, developers, solutions architects, and infrastructure engineers, you will drive the end-to-end delivery of innovative digital solutions that meet business needs

Key Responsibilities

Planning and Management:

• Lead the planning and delivery of digital solutions and services across port regulatory, shipping, and corporate functions. Collaborate with operational users to translate business requirements into technical specifications, and define project scope, timelines, and deliverables in alignment with digitalisation objectives and regulatory frameworks.

Application Development and Implementation:

• Oversee the end-to-end development lifecycle of digital solutions, from requirements gathering through to deployment and maintenance. Manage internal development teams and external vendors to ensure timely delivery ofhigh-quality solutions, championing agile methodologies and ensuring applications meet security, performance, and reliability standards.

Technical and Architecture Capabilities:

• Apply a strong understanding of application architecture, system integration, and modern development frameworks to guide technical decision-making across the product lifecycle. Work closely with solutions architects and infrastructure engineers to ensure digital solutions are designed for scalability, resilience, and security, with alignment to enterprise architecture standards and best practices in APIs, cloud platforms, and data management.

Stakeholder Management and Collaboration:

• Serve as the primary liaison between IT and business units, facilitating clear communication of technical capabilities and constraints. Engage with port operators, shipping lines, and government agencies to gather feedback and drive continuous improvement and present project updates and technical solutions to senior management and external stakeholders.

Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management:

• Ensure all digital solutions comply with relevant policies, regulations, and cybersecurity and ICT requirements. Adhere to and implement existing governance frameworks for application lifecycle management, maintain documentation for audit purposes, and proactively identify and mitigate technical and operational risks.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices in the digital landscape. Evaluate new technologies, including artificial intelligence, and drive initiatives to transform digital solutions and deliver a better user experience across all digital touchpoints.

Requirements

• Min. Degree Holder

• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT project or product management, with a proven track record of leading full software and product development lifecycles using Agile methodologies including Scrum.

• Strong understanding of enterprise application architecture, system integration, database management, cloud computing platforms, and API management, with experience applying modern development frameworks to deliver scalable and resilient digital solutions.

• Experience implementing artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies in digital solutions, with the ability to evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities for practical and impactful application.

• Sound knowledge of cybersecurity principles, regulatory compliance requirements, and ICT governance frameworks, with experience in risk management and maintaining documentation for audit purposes.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, balancing competing priorities whilst meeting deadlines and budgets.

• Experience in vendor and outsourcing management, including overseeing external development teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities to improve product performance and user experience.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior management and external partners.

Contract Duration: 01/10/2026 to 31/03/2027 (6 months), with an option to extend for another 6 months

Working Arrangement:

• Monday – Thursday: 8.30am to 6pm
• Friday: 8.30am to 5.30pm

Salary: $7,000 - $9,000 per month
