What you'll do...
Role summary:We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Manager to join the Walmart+ Business Development team, reporting to the Director of Business Development. This role will have a scope to include supporting the exploration, outreach, negotiation and execution of launch of potential 3rd Party benefits for Walmart+ members. This individual should be a strong collaborator who is adaptable, strategic, and combines a member-first mindset with a bias for action to quickly drive results for our members and for the business. This position does not supervise employees.
About the team:
The Walmart+ Business Development team focuses on driving membership growth by enhancing the program’s value proposition through the development and launching of new and expanded member benefits. This team identifies, negotiates, and secures partnerships across various categories such as video streaming, fuel, pet care, and dining.
Collaborating cross-functionally, the partnerships developed by this team aid in the acquisition, engagement, and retention of Walmart+ members.
By leveraging strategic business development and relationship-building skills, this team plays a key role in advancing Walmart+ objectives and delivering meaningful value to members while fostering strong internal and external partnerships.
What you'll do:
- Research and assess the competitive landscape to identify new partnership opportunities.
- Develop and maintain roadmaps for potential partnerships that drive incremental value.
- Build strategies and frameworks for developing key strategic partnerships which accelerate new member acquisition and benefit utilization (and in turn, retention) amongst existing Walmart+ members.
- Identify, structure, negotiate, lead, and support strategic discussions with prospective external partners across a wide array of businesses across industries.
- Create compelling data-based insights that drive win-win outcomes for Walmart+, Walmart and partners.
- Collaborate with several cross-functional teams: Legal (contracting), marketing (promotions, campaign planning), product/tech (builds, integrations), finance (forecasting) etc.
- Create executive presentations for senior leadership and other stakeholders.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience in business development and strategic partnership management - establishing, optimizing, and optimizing the end-to-end partner lifecycle management process – including negotiating key business terms and executing contracts.
- Strong ability to develop and execute strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Experience both developing and presenting materials (decks, financial models, presentations) for leadership approval and/or for external partner-facing content.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and growth strategy formulation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Ability to gather and analyze performance metrics and implement improvement initiatives.
- Project + Stakeholder management - organizational skills

The annual salary range for this position is $108,000.00 - $216,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
