The Senior Manager, Business Operations, Procure-to-Pay (P2P) serves as a strategic and operational leader responsible for driving scalable, efficient, and compliant P2P operations across IREN. Reporting to the Senior Director, Supply Chain Business Operations, this role will lead the execution and continuous improvement of IREN’s P2P operating model, connecting procurement, Finance, Legal, IT, business stakeholders, and suppliers to ensure processes, technology, controls, and operational priorities are aligned. This leader will establish scalable operating mechanisms, improve end-to-end visibility, and drive process and technology improvements to ensure P2P operates as a well-controlled, efficient, and scalable capability across the business.

Responsibilities

  • Own and continuously improve IREN’s end-to-end P2P business operations, ensuring processes, technology, controls, and governance scale with business growth.
  • Build and lead a high-performing P2P Business Operations team, establishing clear roles, operating mechanisms, performance expectations, and development priorities.
  • Partner with the Director, Supply Chain Business Operations to execute the P2P roadmap and translate broader Source-to-Pay (S2P) strategy into operational priorities, programs, and measurable outcomes.
  • Establish and manage P2P operating mechanisms, KPIs, SLAs, dashboards, business reviews, and governance cadences to provide visibility into operational health, compliance, and performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement across requisitioning, purchasing, purchase orders, supplier onboarding, invoicing, approvals, and payment-related workflows.

  • Responsible for driving cost optimization and supplier management for IT category management across Hardware, software and SaaS.
  • Partner with Finance to strengthen alignment across P2P planning, budgets, commitments, accruals, forecasts, invoices, and actual spend.
  • Own and continuously improve T&E business operations, including travel, expense policies and compliance controls.
  • Identify process gaps, controlling weaknesses, operational risks, dependencies, and automation opportunities across the P2P lifecycle and drive solutions through implementation and adoption.
  • Partner with Procurement, Finance, Legal, IT, and business teams to translate complex operational requirements into scalable process, data, technology, and control solutions.
  • Drive adoption and optimization of P2P platforms, ERP capabilities, workflow automation, analytics, and GenAI-enabled solutions to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain P2P policies, controls, approval frameworks, and compliance mechanisms that support effective financial governance while enabling business velocity.
  • Analyze P2P performance and operational data to identify trends, root causes, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improved efficiency, compliance, and user experience.
  • Lead cross-functional P2P programs from requirements and solution design through implementation, change management, adoption, and performance measurement.
  • Serve as an escalation and resolution leader for complex P2P operational issues impacting suppliers, internal stakeholders, or company-wide operations.
  • Partner with Strategy & Transformation and technology teams to ensure future-state capabilities address current operational pain points while supporting IREN’s long-term P2P roadmap.
  • Identify the critical skills, capabilities, and resource requirements needed to mature and scale P2P Business Operations.
Other important requirements
  • Pre-employment screening, including background check and substance testing may be required according to company policies.
  • Must be able to reliably commute to the assigned office location on scheduled in-office days under the hybrid work arrangement.
  • IREN does not yet have an office in the Bay Area (a Santa Clara office is planned); until it opens, this role will work remotely, transitioning to hybrid on-site work once the office is established.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Finance, Business, or equivalent work experience; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in Procure-to-Pay, Supply Chain, Finance Operations, or Business Operations, with significant experience leading P2P operations at scale.
  • 7+ years leadership experience with Travel & Expense (T&E) operations, including expense management platforms, T&E expense policies, compliance controls and employee expense processes.
  • Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end P2P processes, including purchasing, requisition-to-PO workflows, invoicing, approvals, supplier onboarding, payment operations, and spend compliance.
  • Experience operating and continuously improving financial system automation, including P2P platforms, ERP systems, supplier management tools, workflow automation, and GenAI-enabled capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of P2P policies, financial controls, approval frameworks, segregation of duties, spend compliance, and operational risk management.
  • Experience establishing and managing operational KPIs, SLAs, dashboards, business reviews, and governance mechanisms to monitor P2P performance and operational health.
  • Proven ability to manage IT hardware and software categories, including renewals, licensing and cost avoidance.
  • Demonstrated experience identifying process inefficiencies, control gaps, and automation opportunities and translating them into scalable operational solutions.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and change management skills, with a track record of influencing stakeholders across Procurement, Finance, Legal, IT, and business functions.

Compensation
  • The expected base salary for this role USD $200,000 – 250,000/annum.
    • Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and market data for the region.
  • Total Compensation package may be inclusive of annual incentive bonus, equity (long-term incentive).
