Job Title

Senior Manager - Civil

Job Description

Responsible for end-to-end planning, execution, monitoring, and control of all civil, structural, and infrastructure works at site, ensuring completion of the project within approved cost, time, quality, and safety parameters, while maintaining compliance with statutory and company requirements.

Essential Qualifications

  • B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering (mandatory)
  • M.Tech / PG qualification in Construction Management (preferred)

Essential Experience

  • 12-14 years of Proven experience in handling large-scale Pharmaceutical (preferably API) site execution from foundation to commissioning
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of RCC, PEB, structural design concepts, foundations, and industrial buildings
  • Sound understanding of IS codes, safety regulations, and statutory norms

Job Conditions

The selected candidate will be required to commit to a minimum service period of three (3) years with the organization and sign a service commitment agreement.

Key Deliverables:

Project Execution & Management

  • Lead and manage civil, structural, finishing, and infrastructure works for industrial / manufacturing facilities, warehouses, utilities, roads, and allied structures.
  • Ensure execution as per approved drawings, specifications, BOQs, and project schedules.
  • Coordinate with PMC, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders for seamless execution.
  • Monitor progress against baseline schedules and take corrective actions to mitigate delays.

Planning, Cost & Budget Control

  • Prepare and monitor construction plans, micro-schedules, and resource deployment plans.
  • Control project costs by tracking budgets, variations, extra items, and claims.
  • Review and certify contractor RA bills, variation orders, and final bills.
  • Support commercial team in negotiations and closure of civil contracts.

Quality Assurance & Control

  • Ensure implementation of QA/QC systems at site as per IS codes, project specifications, and best practices.
  • Review and approve method statements, material submittals etc.
  • Conduct regular inspections and ensure corrective actions for non-conformances.

Safety, Health & Environment (HSE)

· Ensure strict adherence to safety norms, statutory requirements, and company HSE policies.

· Promote safe construction practices and conduct regular toolbox talks and safety audits.

· Ensure compliance with environmental and sustainability requirements (e.g., green building norms, LEED considerations, if applicable).

Statutory & Compliance Management

· Coordinate for statutory approvals, inspections, and compliances related to civil works.

· Ensure adherence to local development authority norms, factory regulations, and environmental conditions.


Vendor & Contractor Management

· Evaluate contractor performance and enforce contractual obligations.

· Resolve site issues, disputes, and claims in a timely and professional manner.

Stakeholder & Coordination Role

· Act as the single-point authority at site for civil-related matters.

· Coordinate with MEP, process, equipment suppliers, and utilities teams to ensure interface management.

· Provide regular progress updates and MIS reports to management.


Team Leadership

· Lead and mentor site engineers, planning engineers, etc.

· Ensure skill development, performance monitoring, and effective workforce utilization.
