Senior Manager, Clinical Data Operations & Integration
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Manager, Clinical Data Operations & Integration based in the United States.
As a Senior Manager, Clinical Data Operations & Integration, you’ll lead teams responsible for onboarding, integrating, validating, and supporting complex healthcare data across clinical, financial, and revenue cycle domains. You’ll oversee large-scale client implementations and ensure data integrations are accurate, scalable, reliable, and fit for purpose. The role combines people leadership, healthcare interoperability, data operations, implementation delivery, and strategic client engagement. You’ll work closely with health system IT, interoperability, clinical informatics, Product, Engineering, Client Services, and Operations teams. You’ll also establish scalable governance, operating practices, and performance metrics that improve implementation quality and efficiency. Accountabilities:
- Lead, coach, and develop managers and data operations professionals responsible for client data onboarding and implementation delivery.
- Oversee medium- to large-scale healthcare data implementation programs across multiple clients, products, and concurrent initiatives.
- Drive successful onboarding and ongoing support of clinical, financial, patient, provider, and revenue cycle data into enterprise data platforms.
- Partner with client IT, interoperability, integration, and clinical informatics teams to ensure accurate data ingestion, mapping, validation, monitoring, and issue resolution.
- Lead implementations involving healthcare interoperability standards and formats, including HL7, FHIR, ADT, ORM, ORU, DFT, X12, CCD, and C-CDA.
- Establish scalable implementation best practices, governance frameworks, operating metrics, and delivery processes.
- Serve as a senior escalation point for complex integration, implementation, data quality, and client delivery challenges.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Client Services, and Operations to resolve implementation challenges and improve the overall client experience.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, scalability, data quality, and implementation outcomes through process optimization and technology.
- Strengthen implementation methodologies and operational processes to support growth across clients and products.
- Build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders and influence strategic decisions across complex programs.
- Monitor delivery performance and proactively identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities across concurrent implementation initiatives.
- Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, collaboration, and high-quality client delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- 8+ years of experience in healthcare data, healthcare technology, analytics, interoperability, revenue cycle, or related healthcare operations.
- 8+ years of experience in client-facing roles supporting internal or external customers and stakeholders.
- At least 3 years of experience leading, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare interoperability and clinical data exchange standards, including HL7, FHIR, CCD/C-CDA, X12, and related integration technologies.
- Demonstrated experience working across clinical, patient, provider, financial, and healthcare revenue cycle data domains.
- Hands-on knowledge of SQL, data validation, ETL/ELT processes, data integration, and cloud-based data platforms.
- Proven ability to manage complex implementation programs involving multiple clients, products, teams, and stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of healthcare data ecosystems and the challenges associated with integrating data from disparate systems.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical, operational, clinical, and executive stakeholders.
- Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and drive results across multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Experience leading healthcare data implementation or interoperability programs is preferred.
- Experience partnering directly with clinical informatics, health system IT, or interoperability teams is a plus.
- Familiarity with healthcare analytics, AI-enabled healthcare platforms, or enterprise healthcare software is advantageous.
- Project or program management experience supporting large-scale healthcare technology deployments is preferred.
- Base salary range of $150,075–$248,837.87 per year, depending on location, experience, skills, education, and role level.
- Eligibility to participate in an annual bonus plan with a target of 10%.
