About the Position

The Senior Manager, Content Strategy is responsible for defining what instructional content and learning materials the organization should develop and how that content creates measurable value for learners across TPR and Tutor.com. This role identifies, evaluates, and prioritizes opportunities to improve the digital and print content experience, shaping the strategic roadmap that guides content development across the product portfolio.

Working at the intersection of Product and Content, the Senior Manager collaborates with cross-functional leaders to bring high-impact content initiatives to life. This role develops and maintains the content roadmap and serves as the executional owner of content quality and the overall learner content experience across TPR and Tutor.com. The ideal candidate is a strategic, data-informed leader who can balance long-term vision with practical execution.

What You’ll Do

Content Strategy & Roadmap Ownership

  • Develop and maintain the content roadmap for TPR and Tutor.com, defining priorities, sequencing initiatives, and aligning stakeholders on execution
  • Determine which content development opportunities should be pursued and prioritized across the product portfolio, balancing strategic value, market positioning, and learner impact
  • Serve as the executional owner of content quality and the overall learner content experience across TPR and Tutor.com, establishing and upholding standards for excellence across digital and print formats
  • Analyze and make recommendations regarding reactive test prep work required in response to test maker changes, ensuring content remains accurate, current, and competitive

Research, Analysis & Opportunity Identification

  • Regularly conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities to strengthen the digital and print content experience and increase the market value of TPR and Tutor.com content
  • Scope, socialize, and build alignment around high-priority content improvement initiatives across stakeholder groups, ensuring clear problem definition before implementation begins
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and learner experience trends to proactively identify emerging needs, product gaps, and opportunities that should inform the content roadmap

Cross-Functional Program Planning & Collaboration

  • Lead cross-functional program planning, research, and development across the entire product portfolio in support of content priorities and needs
  • Collaborate with leaders across Product, Editorial, Instructor Development, Technology, and Operations to discover, define, and implement initiatives that impact the content roadmap or require support from the content development team
  • Partner with Product and content development leaders to ensure roadmap initiatives are clearly scoped, dependencies are identified, and sequencing reflects business priorities

Team & Management

  • In the future, this role’s responsibilities may expand to include direct management of additional content team members as the function grows

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in Education, Communications, or related field a plus
  • 8+ years of experience in content strategy, content operations, product management, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and own a content roadmap, translating strategic priorities into clearly scoped, actionable initiatives
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with experience using data and qualitative insights to identify content opportunities and make prioritization decisions
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing without direct authority across Product, Editorial, and Operations stakeholders
  • Deep understanding of content systems, content development workflows, and process improvement methodologies
  • Familiarity with test prep, educational publishing, or digital learning products strongly preferred
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to synthesize complexity and drive alignment across multiple teams and leadership levels
  • Experience managing direct reports and supporting professional development preferred

The Princeton Review and Tutor.com offer a competitive salary which commensurates with experience and skills.

US Pay Range
$105,000$152,000 USD
