In this role, some of your responsibilities will include
Curriculum
& Content Development
- Researching
and designing ready-to-use classroom resources and teacher-facing instructional
content with a strong understanding of the subjects (Tamil, English & Math)
and the context
- Co-leading
and co-creating the curricular framework and content development for textbooks
with the state department and obtaining necessary approvals from the SMEs of
the relevant government departments
- Designing
a comprehensive process framework and guidelines for the State content team and
overseeing adherence to it at all points in the creation cycle
- Designing
clear and comprehensive guidelines to create high-quality content (Teacher
handbooks, Student workbooks, digital content) for Class 1- 5 students that can
be used as by teachers in the classroom.
- Creating
exemplary content materials based on best practices adhering to Madhi standards
and co-creating content with the State to ensure best practices are followed.
- Co-leading
the curricular and training planning workshops with the state department and
obtaining necessary approvals from the SMEs of the relevant government
departments
- Ensuring
on time delivery of teacher handbooks, workbooks and other learning and
teaching materials
- Supporting
the creation of classroom observation frameworks that are aligned to the
M&E framework and demands of the curriculum and learning materials
- Observing
classrooms to improve understanding of the context and strategising the
effective adoption of the new/modified instructional design materials.
Requirements

- Have experience with early grade education, curriculum design or
instructional design.
- Have exceptional
planning skills and set a high bar of excellence for yourself and your team.
- Have demonstrable
skills with respect to attention to detail.
- Have prior
experience working with government stakeholders.
- Have a keen interest in pedagogy and strive to read and research
extensively on it.
- Have a penchant for instructional design and know exactly how to break
down complex processes for consumption
Mandatory
prerequisites include:
- Bachelor’s/master's degree in education, Social
Work, Development Studies, Public Policy, or a related field.
- 8–12 years of experience working on education or
community-based programs, preferably in a government or development sector
setting.
- Strong knowledge in Canva, Adobe InDesign.
- Ability to work with diverse stakeholders across
departments and communities.
- Strong familiarity with Tamil Nadu’s school ecosystem
is preferred.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills in
Tamil and English
- You will be expected to bring your own laptop with updated software (MS
Office 2016).
