The Senior Manager, Digital & Omnichannel Marketing (Customer Experience) will lead the strategy and execution of digital experiences and marketing automation initiatives supporting key healthcare products. The role focuses on creating personalized, engaging experiences across customer relationship management, digital marketing platforms, and website content management systems. You will help shape omnichannel strategies for patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals while driving meaningful improvements in customer engagement. The position combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, requiring close collaboration across marketing, technology, content, compliance, and external agency teams. You will evaluate emerging capabilities, including AI and machine learning, and identify opportunities to improve digital journey orchestration. Data-driven insights and performance metrics will guide optimization and help strengthen campaign effectiveness. This is an influential role in a collaborative, highly regulated environment where digital innovation and customer experience are central to growth.
Accountabilities:
- Provide subject matter expertise to shape the short- and long-term integration of marketing automation technologies and capabilities that enable more personalized customer strategies and promotional execution.
- Maintain a strong understanding of marketing automation platforms and their integration with digital channels, including capabilities and limitations across the broader digital ecosystem.
- Develop and oversee comprehensive marketing automation and non-personal promotional strategies designed to support market growth and customer engagement.
- Identify, evaluate, and share best practices in journey orchestration, marketing automation, and digital channels while assessing new capabilities that can improve the customer experience.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and agency teams to develop and execute innovative omnichannel initiatives and optimize the broader digital ecosystem.
- Collaborate with promotional marketing and thought-leader functions to translate strategic direction and campaign materials into integrated digital and multi-channel tactical plans, including the development of digital assets.
- Coordinate with review and compliance stakeholders to ensure digital and non-personal promotional materials are reviewed and approved in accordance with legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
- Manage agency relationships, support marketing strategy, oversee priority tactics, and ensure timely delivery of initiatives in launch environments.
- Support annual budget planning, monthly expense reconciliation, and resource reallocation as needed to ensure effective use of marketing investments.
- Develop and monitor KPIs related to audience engagement and market traction, using data-driven insights to refine strategies and improve campaign performance.
- Create presentations and reports for internal stakeholders, translating performance data and market insights into actionable digital marketing recommendations.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, with an MBA, MS, or other advanced degree considered a plus.
- Bring at least 5 years of experience in digital marketing, marketing automation, or related marketing disciplines, including at least 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sector.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of digital and non-personal promotional environments, including CRM platforms, digital marketing tools, website content management systems, and marketing automation.
- Have proven experience managing multiple complex initiatives that require effective cross-functional coordination and execution.
- Bring experience with AI and machine learning initiatives from initiation through completion, particularly where automated deployment is involved.
- Demonstrate experience with digital promotions across both first-party and third-party assets, as well as email delivery and automation, website assembly, and/or digital media optimization.
- Understand pharmaceutical regulatory requirements and their impact on the development, review, and approval of marketing materials, including promotional review processes and data governance requirements such as CCPA, CPRA, and GDPR.
- Demonstrate strong analytical capabilities and the ability to translate data into actionable marketing strategies and customer experience improvements.
- Communicate effectively with diverse audiences and demonstrate strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills when working with internal stakeholders and external agencies.
- Possess strong budget management capabilities, including expense planning, tracking, reconciliation, and resource allocation.
- Be comfortable working in a dynamic environment and able to travel up to 25–30% of the time.
- Be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States.
- The expected salary range for this position is $154,980–$205,110, with final compensation determined by factors including geographic location, knowledge, skills, experience, and education.
