Senior Manager, Experimentation Optimization

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Manager, Experimentation Optimization based in United States.

This is a strategic, data-driven leadership role focused on improving digital experiences and increasing conversion across prospect-facing websites and journeys. You will own the experimentation and conversion rate optimization roadmap, from opportunity discovery through testing, measurement, and rollout. The role combines behavioral analytics, UX insights, personalization, and rigorous experimentation to reduce friction and improve engagement. You will shape how digital experiences are optimized across different audiences and lifecycle stages. Working cross-functionally, you will influence Marketing, Product, UX, Technology, Analytics, and Enrollment teams without direct authority. You will also help advance the use of AI, predictive insights, and intelligent personalization to deliver measurable business outcomes.

Accountabilities:

  • Own the CRO and experimentation roadmap, including opportunity identification, prioritization, sequencing, testing calendars, governance, QA standards, and deployment practices.
  • Lead the full experimentation lifecycle, from hypothesis development and test design through implementation, QA, launch, statistical analysis, results communication, and production rollout.
  • Design and manage A/B, multivariate, and multi-page experiments using behavioral analytics, UX research, session data, funnel diagnostics, and customer insights.
  • Analyze prospective customer journeys to identify friction, abandonment, and conversion opportunities across navigation, search, program discovery, content, calls-to-action, and other digital touchpoints.
  • Develop personalized digital experiences using audience segmentation, behavioral targeting, intent signals, lifecycle stages, and customer insights.
  • Establish and maintain CRO measurement frameworks, dashboards, KPIs, reporting cadences, and quarterly performance reviews, communicating results and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Partner with Marketing, Enrollment, Digital Analytics, Product, UX, IT, Brand, and other teams to align optimization initiatives with broader business and customer-experience priorities.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, agencies, technology partners, and external development resources supporting experimentation and personalization initiatives.
  • Maintain repositories of hypotheses, test results, learnings, optimization opportunities, and best practices to strengthen organizational knowledge and experimentation maturity.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends in AI, personalization, behavioral science, predictive experiences, and digital optimization, identifying opportunities for innovation.
  • Provide leadership through influence and expertise, building alignment across cross-functional teams and driving complex initiatives through completion.
  • Continuously benchmark customer expectations, competitor experiences, and evolving digital behaviors to identify new opportunities for growth and experience improvement.
  • Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Analytics, Statistics, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field; a Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
    • 7+ years of experience in conversion rate optimization, experimentation, website experience management, personalization, digital merchandising, e-commerce, or a closely related discipline.
    • 2+ years of experience in strategy, program ownership, management, or comparable leadership responsibilities.
    • Demonstrated experience administering and governing A/B testing and personalization platforms such as Adobe Target, Optimizely, VWO, or equivalent solutions.
    • Proven ability to develop and execute CRO and experimentation roadmaps, establish KPIs and prioritization frameworks, and communicate results to executives.
    • Strong expertise in experimentation methodologies, including hypothesis development, test design, statistical analysis, sample sizing, and interpretation of results.
    • Experience developing personalized digital experiences using segmentation, behavioral targeting, geo-targeting, and journey-based targeting.
    • Strong knowledge of analytics and digital experience platforms such as Adobe Analytics, GA4, FullStory, or similar tools.
    • Ability to independently analyze complex datasets using SQL, dashboards, and analytics technologies to identify opportunities and guide strategy.
    • Understanding of UX principles, customer journey mapping, accessibility and WCAG considerations, responsive design, content strategy, and technical factors affecting experimentation.
    • Experience managing vendors, agency partners, and external development resources.
    • Familiarity with customer data platforms, audience segmentation, behavioral decisioning, AI-driven personalization, predictive modeling, and automated optimization.
    • Experience in higher education, edtech, e-commerce, or another complex, high-consideration, multi-audience environment is preferred.
    • Portfolio, case studies, or documented examples demonstrating measurable improvements in conversion, engagement, lead generation, or other business outcomes is advantageous.
    • Exceptional communication, storytelling, stakeholder-management, and executive-presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations.
    • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, prioritization, and project-management abilities, with the flexibility to balance long-term vision, customer needs, operational constraints, and measurable results.
    • Demonstrated ability to influence and build alignment across cross-functional teams without direct authority.
    • Comfortable working independently while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
    • Benefits:

      • Salary: $78,496–$105,974 annual salary range, with final compensation determined by qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and state of residency.
      • Work arrangement: Fully remote position based in the United States.
