Description
- Lead annual budgeting, financial forecasting, and long-term planning, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Monitor actual performance against budget and forecasts, prepare management reports and dashboards, analyze product, customer, channel, and SKU profitability, and recommend corrective actions.
- Cost Management & Profitability: Monitor product costs, gross margins, operating and non-operating expenses, trade promotions, discounts, rebates, and sales incentives; identify cost-saving opportunities across the business.
- Working Capital & Inventory Management: Oversee inventory valuation, stock provisions, slow-moving and obsolete inventory, turnover, and the cash conversion cycle, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory.
- Partner with Operational and non-operational departments to optimize costs and expenses, improving operational efficiency and cost effectiveness.
- Financial Control, Reporting & Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely financial closing, balance sheet reconciliations, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance accounting standards, internal and external policies.
- Manage cash flow forecasting consistently, liquidity, customer credit limits, overdue receivables, collections, and supplier payment planning, assess financial risks, present performance insights to management, and lead, coach, and develop the finance team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CMA, CPA, or equivalent qualification is preferred.
- Experience: 8–12 years of relevant finance experience, including 3–5 years in a managerial role, preferably within the FMCG industry.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, profitability analysis, product costing, working capital, and FMCG commercial operations.
- Advanced Excel and ERP systems (Oracle) proficiency, with strong leadership, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to translate financial data into actionable business decisions.
