Senior Manager - Financial Audit

We are seeking experienced Senior Managers to supervise and provide quality control for large federal performance and/or financial statement audit engagements, examinations, and evaluations. The selected candidates will be responsible for ensuring engagement goals are met, reviewing workpapers and deliverables, and providing technical direction to engagement teams.
Responsibilities
- Supervise large federal performance and/or financial statement audits, examinations, and evaluations.
- Ensure engagement goals and objectives are met and audit work is performed in accordance with applicable standards and regulations.
- Provide quality control oversight for engagement activities and deliverables.
- Review audit workpapers and other deliverables based on engagement risk and complexity.
- Provide technical direction to managers and other engagement team members when necessary.
- Monitor engagement progress, identify risks and issues, and support timely resolution.
- Review audit findings, recommendations, analyses, reports, and other engagement deliverables.
- Ensure engagement teams maintain appropriate documentation and meet established quality standards and deadlines.
- Coordinate with client personnel and engagement team members to support successful completion of engagement objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Business Administration.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA). The Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation may be substituted for the CPA designation only in the case of Performance audits.
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience managing or supervising large federal financial statement audits, examinations, and evaluations.
- Demonstrated experience supervising complex federal audit engagements and engagement teams.
- Strong knowledge of federal auditing standards, financial management requirements, and applicable accounting principles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to review audit workpapers and deliverables based on engagement risk and complexity.
- Must possess or be capable of obtaining a “Q” clearance.
