Senior Manager - Financial Planning and Analysis (CORS 251)
The Senior Manager leads project controls and financial governance across assigned projects or portfolios, ensuring robust oversight of contracts, budgets, schedules, risks, and reporting. The role provides strategic financial insight, strengthens control frameworks, and supports senior leadership in informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage contract variations, change orders, and extension of time/cost claims, ensuring proper evaluation, documentation, approvals, and reporting.
- Oversee utilization of project contingencies and provisional sums, ensuring disciplined budget control and alignment with approved business cases.
- Direct cost monitoring, forecasting, and variance analysis, providing clear insights and mitigation strategies to senior management.
- Ensure integrity and reconciliation of data across SAP, Primavera P6, Unifier, BIM, and related systems.
- Oversee monthly accrual reviews and financial close activities to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Provide high-level oversight of schedule changes and integrated cost/schedule impacts.
- Lead risk and opportunity reviews, ensuring timely identification, assessment, and escalation of key exposures.
- Act as a senior liaison between Finance, Commercial, and Project Delivery teams to ensure transparency and alignment.
- Mentor and guide project controls teams, promoting governance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
Working knowledge or certification on project tools such as: primavera, p6, unifier, SAP project module. (required)
Professional Certifications
Professional certifications such as CPA/ MBA are preferred
Certificate in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution – RICS or similar are preferred
Project Management Professional (PMP) is preferred.
8+ years of experience in Project Controls, or Development Finance as part of large construction company or large developer or PMC.
