Senior Manager FP&A

Discussion

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Manager FP&A based in the United States.

This is a hands-on financial leadership role responsible for building and scaling the forecasting, budgeting, and SaaS KPI reporting engine for a private equity-backed software business. You will develop driver-based financial models spanning revenue, margins, headcount, cash flow, and operating performance to support disciplined growth. The role combines detailed financial analysis with strategic business partnership, providing leadership with clear insights for planning, investment, and decision-making. You will bring structure and rigor to a lean, fast-moving environment where data and processes may still be evolving. The position also provides exposure to M&A diligence, integration modeling, pricing decisions, go-to-market investments, and capital allocation. This is an opportunity for an experienced FP&A professional to have meaningful ownership while helping build a more scalable and data-driven finance function.

Accountabilities:

  • Own forecasting and planning processes across revenue, operating profit, headcount, cash flow, and other key business drivers, maintaining accurate and actionable short-term and long-term outlooks.
  • Lead the monthly financial performance package, including SaaS KPI reporting, scorecards, margin bridges, variance analysis, and recommendations for executive leadership.
  • Build and maintain scalable, driver-based operating models that connect financial performance to underlying business levers and operational assumptions.
  • Establish and maintain a trusted SaaS and ARR reporting framework covering metrics such as ARR, MRR, NRR, cohort performance, CAC/LTV, and broader unit economics.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and develop multiple financial scenarios that provide clear guidance around profitability, runway, resource allocation, and capital deployment.
  • Conduct scenario planning, sensitivity analyses, and financial modeling to support pricing decisions, go-to-market investments, hiring plans, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Support M&A diligence and integration modeling, including quality of earnings analysis, working alongside senior FP&A leadership on transaction-related activities.
  • Partner with Operations, People, Sales, and other functional leaders to maintain plan integrity, improve forecast accuracy, and align financial plans with operational priorities.
  • Strengthen FP&A processes, systems, automation, data integrity, and reporting standards as the organization grows.
  • Potentially manage and develop a direct report as the finance and analytics function expands.
  • Requirements:

    • 6–9 years of progressive FP&A experience, ideally including experience in a high-growth, subscription-based, or private equity-backed SaaS environment.
    • Strong understanding of SaaS and subscription business models, including ARR, MRR, NRR, cohort analysis, CAC/LTV, unit economics, and driver-based forecasting.
    • Demonstrated ability to build sophisticated, scalable, and audit-ready financial and operating models that translate financial signals into actionable business insights.
    • Experience managing forecasting, budgeting, scenario planning, variance analysis, and executive-level financial reporting in a fast-moving environment.
    • Comfortable working with imperfect or incomplete data, evolving processes, and ambiguity while maintaining analytical rigor and execution speed.
    • Exposure to M&A diligence and/or integration modeling, with the ability to contribute effectively alongside a more senior transaction lead.
    • Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including structured and version-controlled financial modeling; SQL proficiency is strongly preferred for independent data extraction and analysis.
    • Familiarity with private equity-backed reporting practices, investor expectations, and board-level reporting cadences.
    • Strong understanding of scenario planning, including target, base, and stretch financial models and performance goals.
    • Tech-forward mindset with hands-on experience using, or strong interest in using, AI tools to accelerate financial modeling, analysis, reporting, and decision-making.
    • Strong systems-thinking and a continuous improvement mindset, with a focus on automation, process clarity, scalability, and data integrity.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to turn complex financial information into concise, practical recommendations.
    • Comfortable operating in a lean, resource-constrained environment and taking ownership without requiring highly defined processes or extensive support.
    • Benefits:

      • Annual salary range of $146,400–$183,000 USD for U.S.-based candidates.
      • Comprehensive health benefits.
      • Flexible paid time off.
      • Paid parental leave.
      • Fertility and adoption assistance.
      • 401(k) retirement plan.
      • Educational reimbursement.
      • Remote work within the United States.
      • Opportunities to work in a technology-driven, growth-oriented environment with exposure to SaaS operations, strategic finance, and M&A.
      • Reasonable accommodations available throughout the application and interview process.
      • Compensation and benefits may vary based on skills, experience, qualifications, and work location.
