Senior Manager, Interior 2
Job Objective
Leading of the team Interior Trim Part & Wiring Harness, including
- Interior Trim Part and Wiring Harness localization and development for Mercedes-Benz Passenger Car Projects.
- Coordination and realization of the Mercedes-Benz products for local production at BBAC in China.
- Leading development activities in China for components and tasks according to the aligned workshare with RD Germany
Task Description
1. Management\:
- The management, motivation and development of staff using HR tools, founded on our mission statement & corporate values, and provision of purposeful internal communications to achieve the agreed objectives.
- Ensuring that the necessary training appropriate to the needs of individual employees and the tasks assigned to them is provided.
Informing subordinated employees about the relevant provisions and instructing them to comply with the provisions. Ensuring that they are implemented properly.
2. Planning & Control
- Plan, agree and manage the budget and headcount in accordance with key performance indicators.
- Monitor compliance with budget targets, introduce and supervise cost-cutting measures where necessary, in liaison with the line manager, and develop an awareness of costs among staff.
3. Operational focus
- Drive and implement China specific requirements, based on own experience and in cooperation with other RD departments. Align and define performance targets and develop respective measures together within RD China and the global RD network.
- Drive the local development activities including local BTV and MGS at RD China in alignment with Body & Safety(RD/K, Germany) and Chief Engineer MB.OS (RD/CE, Germany). Responsible for localization activities and evaluate sourcing strategies for running & upcoming projects.
- Manage all technical changes from global Mercedes-Benz RD organization for local and imported parts and organize the handover to BBAC product engineering.
- Evaluate and verify supplier results by endurance testing as well as by vehicle driving test runs.
- Assist pilot runs, try outs and series productions of Mercedes-Benz cars at the production plant with technical support and profound knowledge.
- Responsible for on-time introduction of local and imported parts for our current and all planned projects at BBAC in China.
- Work together with cross-functional departments like product planning, quality, and logistics, set up project milestones as well as coordinate activities to pursue tight schedules.
- Ensure the field issue monitoring and resolution within the framework of Mercedes-Benz quality processes. Collaborate in frequent exchange with global Stakeholders from PF-Teams, GCSP, Q, SQL.
