Senior Manager (IT Operations) - Malad West

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager IT Operations to lead and manage the organization's IT infrastructure across its Pan-India offices, manufacturing locations, warehouses and other business locations.

The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring high availability, reliability, security and scalability of the organization's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud, data centers, end-user computing, cyber security, backup and disaster recovery.

Role & responsibilities

1. IT Infrastructure Management

• Lead end-to-end IT infrastructure operations across Pan-India locations.
• Manage servers, storage, virtualization, data center and cloud infrastructure.
• Ensure high availability, performance and reliability of critical IT systems.
• Develop infrastructure standards, policies, SOPs and technology roadmaps.
• Conduct capacity planning and infrastructure performance monitoring.

2. Network & Connectivity

• Manage enterprise-wide LAN/WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi, Internet, firewalls and SD-WAN/MPLS infrastructure.
• Ensure reliable connectivity between corporate office, manufacturing plants and branch offices.
• Monitor network performance and resolve/escalate critical network issues.
• Drive network optimization, redundancy and scalability.

3. Cloud & Microsoft Infrastructure

• Manage hybrid infrastructure involving on-premise and cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure/AWS.
• Manage Microsoft 365, Active Directory/Entra ID, Intune, Exchange and related services.
• Drive cloud migration, modernization and infrastructure automation initiatives.
• Monitor cloud performance, availability and cost optimization.

4. Cybersecurity & IT Governance

• Work closely with the cybersecurity team to strengthen infrastructure security.
• Ensure implementation of endpoint security, MFA, access controls, patch management and vulnerability management.
• Ensure secure configuration and hardening of servers, network devices and endpoints.
• Ensure appropriate controls for protection of business and customer data.

5. Backup, Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity

• Own the organization's backup and disaster recovery infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain BCP/DR plans, backup policies and recovery procedures.
• Conduct periodic DR drills and ensure defined RTO/RPO requirements are met.
• Ensure business continuity for critical manufacturing, ERP and corporate systems.

6. IT Service Management

• Establish and monitor ITIL/ITSM-based processes for Incident, Problem, Change and Asset Management.
• Define and monitor SLAs, KPIs and service availability.
• Act as the senior escalation point for critical infrastructure incidents.
• Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and preventive actions for recurring issues.

7. Pan-India IT Operations

• Provide infrastructure support and governance across all offices, plants and other locations.
• Standardize IT infrastructure and processes across locations.
• Coordinate with regional IT teams and local support resources.
• Travel to Pan-India locations as required for infrastructure projects, audits and critical issues.

8. Vendor & AMC Management

• Manage relationships with IT infrastructure vendors, OEMs, system integrators, telecom providers and cloud service providers.
• Manage AMC contracts, SLAs, renewals and vendor performance.
• Negotiate with vendors and ensure cost-effective IT infrastructure solutions.
• Evaluate new technologies and recommend solutions aligned with business requirements.

9. Team Management & Leadership

• Lead, mentor and develop the IT infrastructure/support team.
• Allocate resources and monitor team performance.
• Build a responsive and service-oriented IT culture.
• Coordinate with business, finance, HR, manufacturing, sales and other functional teams for IT requirements.

10. IT Projects & Transformation

• Lead infrastructure upgrades, office/plant setup, network expansion and technology transformation projects.
• Drive automation and standardization of IT infrastructure.
• Participate in ERP, digital transformation and other business-critical technology projects.
• Ensure projects are delivered within defined timelines and budgets.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.
• 1015 years of experience in IT Infrastructure / IT Operations, with significant experience in a managerial/leadership role.
• Experience managing IT infrastructure across multiple locations/Pan-India operations.
• Strong experience in networking, servers, cloud, virtualization, Microsoft technologies, cyber security, backup and DR.
• Strong experience in managing IT infrastructure vendors and large-scale projects.
• Experience with ITIL/ITSM and IT audits/compliance is preferred
