Hiring: Senior Manager - Legal & Contract Management

Location: Chennai | Work Mode: Work from Office

We are looking for an experienced legal professional to manage end-to-end commercial contracts for a leading technology solutions organisation. The role involves working closely with business leaders, managing contractual risks, negotiating complex technology agreements, and supporting business operations across domestic and international markets.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage the complete contract lifecycle, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, execution and closure of commercial agreements.

- Handle contracts relating to IT services, cloud solutions, software, infrastructure and other technology offerings.

- Assess contractual risks and recommend appropriate provisions covering liability, indemnification, warranties, damages and dispute resolution.

- Partner with business, sales, finance, procurement and legal teams to align contractual terms with business objectives.

- Lead negotiations with customers, vendors, external legal advisors and internal stakeholders to achieve commercially viable outcomes.

- Identify potential legal and commercial exposures and communicate risks and mitigation strategies to business leaders.

- Manage contract repositories, documentation, contract abstraction, archival processes and contract lifecycle management tools.

- Drive timely resolution of contractual issues and escalations in coordination with cross-functional teams.

- Support process improvements and leverage technology-enabled contracting solutions to enhance efficiency and compliance.

- Guide junior legal professionals and coordinate contract management activities across multiple stakeholders and business functions.

Candidate Profile:

- Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) from a reputed institution; a postgraduate qualification in Law is an advantage.

- 10+ years of experience in commercial contract management, legal drafting, negotiation and risk assessment.

- Strong experience handling contracts within IT services, SaaS, cloud, software or technology-related businesses.

- Sound understanding of commercial and techno-legal aspects of technology contracts.

- Experience managing contractual clauses relating to indemnities, liability limitations, warranties, damages and claims.

- Hands-on exposure to contract lifecycle management systems, contract abstraction and document management.

- Experience supporting international markets, particularly Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand or other Southeast Asian countries, will be highly valued.

- Ability to work effectively with senior business stakeholders, external counsel and cross-functional teams.

- Strong analytical, communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

- Prior experience guiding a team of legal or contract management professionals is preferred.

- Willingness to travel internationally based on business requirements.
