Senior Manager Market Development & Origination d/f/m English Deutsch Quick Navigation Quick Navigation Back Back Senior Manager Market Development & Origination d/f/m Location(s): Copenhagen, 84, DK, 1620 RWE Renewables Denmark A/S To start as soon as possible, full time, permanent The Senior Manager Market Development & Origination will be based in Copenhagen and be part of the Offshore Development EU team, covering Ireland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, and Denmark. The role focuses on market monitoring and the development of new origination opportunities in the Danish offshore market, while collaborating closely with colleagues across other European markets. You will report to the Head of Development Services EU, with a functional reporting line to the Head of Development Denmark. About the role Monitor markets and identify attractive project opportunities. Prepare initial proposals for auction participation, including supporting project and investment teams in early profitability assessments. Develop independent recommendations, prepare decision materials, and provide commercial insights to management on portfolio topics. Develop market and technology scenarios, including sensitivity analyses to identify risks and opportunities. Analyse regulatory frameworks and assess their impact on project profitability; define optimisation measures in collaboration with experts. Represent RWE at industry events, trade fairs, and with relevant authorities and stakeholders, strengthening the company’s positioning. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government bodies, communities, and industry partners. Manage and grow relationships with external partners while representing RWE’s commercial interests. Job requirements and experience University degree in engineering, renewable energy, economics or equivalent At least 5-8 years of relevant professional experience in the energy sector, with strong commercial expertise in trading, investment management, or business development. Advanced project management skills, with experience leading strategic initiatives. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and assess risks effectively Strong knowledge of European offshore wind markets and regulatory frameworks, ideally including the Danish market. Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and communicate clearly and concisely with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders (including senior executive stakeholders). Analytical and strategic skills, coupled with a high level of results orientation and the ability to deliver high-quality results in a timely manner in demanding environments.
