Senior Manager of Facilities

JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Manager of Facilities provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for all facilities, maintenance, custodial services, safety, environmental compliance, and capital improvement activities. This position ensures all buildings, infrastructure, utilities, and production support systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably while supporting organizational goals.
JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and execute the organization's facilities and maintenance strategy.
- Lead, mentor, train, and evaluate facilities, maintenance, custodial, and safety personnel.
- Develop departmental goals, KPIs, budgets, and capital improvement plans.
- Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
- Maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, fire protection, security, and building automation systems.
- Partner with operations and manufacturing leadership to ensure equipment reliability, facility readiness, and uninterrupted production support.
- Manage renovations, expansions, and capital projects.
- Manage operating and capital budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Negotiate and oversee vendor and contractor relationships.
- Collaborate with the Safety Coordinator to support OSHA, EPA, environmental, and other regulatory compliance initiatives, helping ensure adherence to applicable safety regulations and standards.
- Lead emergency preparedness, business continuity, accident investigations, and corrective actions.
- Oversee physical security systems and facility access.
- Manage inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment.
- Approve payroll, conduct performance reviews, and administer discipline as needed.
- Perform other duties and strategic initiatives as assigned.
