Senior Manager of Field Development
JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Manager of Field Development is responsible for advertising, hiring, building and training the HSUSA national field network in order to ensure the growth of HSUSA. This position will ensure the capacity increase of HSUSA to a minimum of 250 for the upcoming program year and then also ensures the annual growth of student numbers at a 25 percent increase year on year until HSUSA reaches its goal. This position is responsible for working with the Senior Manager of Field Operations to ensure that this growth remains within compliance of Department of State Regulations. The Senior Manager of Field Development is responsible for operations nationwide under the direction and guidance of the President of HSUSA. This position coordinates all social media outreach for the hiring, onboarding and training of all national field staff at all levels. The Senior Manager of Field Development creates content for weekly training and implements all training sessions in cooperation with other national staff members. This position reports to the President of HSUSA and provides excellent customer service to team members and customers while demonstrating the company values and supporting the mission.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Recruit, hire, and train national field staff at all levels at percentages/numbers as described above
- Work with the Senior Manager of Field Operations to ensure capacity to support placements and compliance to Department of State standards
- Oversee and coordinate social media outreach efforts in support of onboarding field staff as well as supporting their training and success at finding host families and school spots nationwide
- Create and disseminate content for all weekly training calls
- Assist with the creation of all marketing materials for both families and staff
- Prepare and distribute training materials for staff families and students
- Assist in preparation of all required reports to Department of State
- Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5 years of experience with a Designated Exchange Visitor Sponsor at a senior management level
- 5 years supervisory experience
- Proven experience in team capacity building within the J-1 high school exchange industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to handle high stress situations within set deadlines
- Ability to comprehend the program regulations as it relates to the J-1 visa program and communicate program regulations to exchange visitors, vendors, and others
- Ability to project a professional image to exchange visitors, housing vendors, foreign partner agents, host organizations, local coordinators, government officials, and “concerned” citizens
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while accomplishing daily tasks
