Senior Manager of Programs: B:CIVIC, Civics Bee & Alumni
Bring people together to strengthen Colorado communities
The Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce exists to strengthen Colorado's economy by supporting businesses, developing leaders and creating opportunities for our region to thrive.
B:CIVIC connects businesses around corporate social responsibility, philanthropy, volunteerism and community impact. As Senior Manager of Programs, you’ll bring those connections to life through B:CIVIC programs, Civics Bee and Leadership Foundation alumni experiences. You’ll own assigned alumni programs and help graduates stay connected, involved and engaged with the Foundation and one another.
Why This Role Matters
A thoughtful welcome, a well-run event and a timely response can make the difference between someone attending once and staying engaged. You’ll help create experiences that keep members and alumni connected and give them meaningful ways to stay involved.
Reporting to the Vice President of Programs, you’ll independently manage assigned programs, coordinate colleagues around shared deadlines and turn ideas into organized plans. If you enjoy building relationships, solving practical problems and helping programs grow through thoughtful planning and follow-through, this role offers several ways to contribute.
What You'll Own
- Own the planning, delivery and evaluation of B:CIVIC, Civics Bee and Leadership Foundation alumni programs, including the annual Lead with Impact Summit.
- Build clear program and event plans and coordinate venues, vendors, registration, accessibility arrangements and on-site needs.
- Own year-round alumni outreach, relationship management, recognition and volunteer opportunities while welcoming new B:CIVIC members and connecting both groups with relevant resources and ways to participate.
- Partner with program leadership, membership staff and community partners to strengthen participation, recruitment, retention and continued alumni involvement.
- Work with program leadership and Finance to support budget tracking, expense reconciliation and accurate financial information for assigned programs.
- Keep committees, volunteers, speakers and partners organized through clear communication, meeting materials, assignments and follow-up, and coordinate the alumni communications calendar with Foundation colleagues and the events and marketing teams.
- Maintain accurate program, member and alumni records, engagement history and reporting deadlines while supporting expense tracking and preparation of program activity and engagement reports.
- Use participation data and member and alumni feedback to recommend and implement practical improvements to assigned programs
What You'll Bring
- Four or more years of progressively responsible experience in program management, nonprofit administration, member or alumni engagement, community impact or a related field.
- A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience independently managing programs or projects from planning through delivery and evaluation.
- Strong organization and follow-through, with the ability to coordinate contributors across departments, manage competing deadlines and adapt when plans change.
- Clear communication, sound judgment and a welcoming approach to working with members, alumni and partners.
- Comfort with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace and learning program databases, registration platforms and project management tools.
- Availability for occasional early mornings, evenings or extended hours in support of events.
Experience with a chamber, association, nonprofit or corporate social responsibility program is helpful, as is familiarity with alumni engagement, committees, volunteers or member engagement tools.
