The Senior Manager or Director of Facility Licensure is responsible for overseeing all aspects of facility licensure and regulatory compliance across the ABC centers located in multiple states. This role leads the initial licensure process for new centers, supports ongoing compliance efforts for existing locations, and serves as the organizational subject matter expert on state-specific licensure regulations and inspection readiness.
The Senior Manager or Director of Facility Licensure partners closely with operational leadership, clinical teams, the legal/compliance department, and external regulatory agencies to ensure centers consistently meet all applicable licensing standards. This individual proactively monitors regulatory changes, develops compliance systems, and ensures centers maintain accurate and inspection-ready documentation at all times.
Facility Licensure & Regulatory Oversight
- Lead and manage the licensure process for all new ABC centers, including applications, renewals, inspections, and regulatory approvals.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of state-specific licensure regulations and requirements in all states where the organization operates.
- Monitor regulatory updates and communicate changes to organizational leadership and center teams.
- Develop and maintain standardized licensure processes, documentation systems, and compliance workflows across all centers.
- Serve as the primary organizational liaison with state facility licensing agencies, accreditation bodies, and regulatory entities.
Inspection Readiness & Compliance
- Ensure all centers maintain proactive inspection readiness through ongoing audits, documentation reviews, and compliance monitoring.
- Partner with center leadership to prepare for announced and unannounced regulatory inspections.
- Support centers during inspections and assist with responses to findings, corrective action plans, and follow-up requirements.
- Conduct routine internal compliance assessments to identify and mitigate regulatory risk.
- Ensure center documentation, policies, operational records, and required postings remain current and compliant with state regulations.
Operational Partnership
- Collaborate with Operations, Clinical Leadership, HR, Facilities, and Compliance teams to ensure licensing requirements are integrated into center operations.
- Provide guidance and training to center leadership regarding facility licensure standards, documentation expectations, and regulatory best practices.
- Assist with expansion planning by evaluating facility licensure feasibility and timelines for new markets and locations.
- Maintain accurate tracking systems for facility licenses, renewals, inspections, deficiencies, and corrective actions.
Process Improvement & Leadership
- Develop scalable compliance programs and tools to support organizational growth across multiple states.
- Identify opportunities to improve facility licensure efficiency, reduce compliance risk, and strengthen operational readiness.
- Create reporting dashboards and provide regular updates to executive leadership regarding licensure status and compliance trends.
- Foster a culture of accountability, regulatory excellence, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, Compliance, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare facility licensure, regulatory compliance, healthcare operations, or related field.
- Multi-state healthcare or behavioral health licensure experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience within ABA, behavioral health, outpatient healthcare, or pediatric healthcare environments preferred.
- Strong understanding of state healthcare licensing regulations and inspection processes.
- Demonstrated experience managing regulatory inspections and corrective action responses.
- Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and regulatory requirements simultaneously.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency with compliance tracking systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and document management platforms.

- Ability to travel periodically to center locations as needed.

Salary Range
Base salary range between $80,000 to $140,000. Base salary and title will be commensurate with experience.
