Your new role
Lead a regional partnerships portfolio that supports sustainable net member growth and delivers better outcomes for members across Victoria and Tasmania. As Senior Manager, Partnerships, you will lead a team of partnership professionals, strengthen relationships with employers and key stakeholders, protect and grow default arrangements, and ensure members can access meaningful engagement and education through their workplaces, unions and associations.
In this role, you’ll:
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing regional team of partnership professionals.
- Develop and deliver regional growth plans focused on delivering member growth and driving net flows through, engagement, education, retention and adding partner value.
- Manage and regularly review the regional partner portfolio to maximise growth opportunities, service outcomes and team capacity.
- Strengthen relationships with employers, unions, associations and other key stakeholders through proactive, value-added engagement.
- Oversee renewal strategies and action plans for businesses with upcoming default arrangements.
- Support business development activity and help optimise member joins when new businesses are onboarded.
- Manage commercial negotiations, contractual arrangements and due diligence for new partnerships and initiatives.
- Embed strong governance, risk and compliance practices while driving a Members First service culture.
- Lead the design of complex, end-to-end member experiences, shaping product direction through insight-led thinking and collaboration.
What you’ll need:
- Demonstrated experience leading, developing and motivating a diverse or geographically dispersed team.
- Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to build trusted partnerships and gain stakeholder cooperation.
- Deep knowledge of superannuation products, including corportate super arrangements, insurance, investment choice and pension-based products.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills, particularly when managing complex or at-risk partnerships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience managing confidential or sensitive matters.
- The ability to work effectively under pressure, balance competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
- A sound understanding of compliance frameworks, governance requirements and risk management obligations.
- RG146 compliance, with broader superannuation industry knowledge and experience highly regarded.
- Understanding of the Australian industrial relations and digital service provider ecosystems is desirable.
