Job Overview
THE·TEAM is looking for a Senior Manager to serve as a key contributor to the Canadian Performance & Insights team. With a focus on partnership measurement and audience intelligence, this role is critical to the development and delivery of data-led partnerships strategy, specifically in the areas of sport, entertainment, and culture (i.e., travel, media, music, etc.).
This multi-faceted role will not only develop the research solutions to gather and analyze pertinent data, but will also effectively distill the information into high-level, analytic insights that tell the story behind the numbers.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a dynamic environment that requires them to toggle between various internal and external projects / clients across multiple verticals, while managing a team of direct reports.

What You’ll Do
The Senior Manager, Performance & Insights, will lead the development and implementation of partnership measurement and audience intelligence programs across various client categories and consumer segments.
Partnership Measurement
Utilize proprietary and syndicated research tools to conduct partnership measurement, determining tangible and intangible value to brand and property partners, and informing strategic recommendations based on returns (i.e., Return on Investment, Return on Assets, etc.)
Develop measurement dashboards that distill qualitative and quantitative metrics to evaluate performance consistently across a partnership portfolio
Audience Intelligence
Complement syndicated sources with primary research to inform a deeper understanding of a target audience, shaping the insights that inspire creative, experiential, and partnership strategy that resonates with the right consumers through the right channels
Design and develop custom research methodologies including, but not limited to, consumer surveying, brand health, and partnership impact
Develop consumer segmentation solutions, delivering unique fan profiles representing consumer attitudes, behaviors, and motivations
Data Storytelling & Client/Stakeholder Presentations
Lead the development of client deliverables, POV’s, reporting tools, and supporting materials that blend our multiple capabilities and data sources to deliver clear, concise, and actionable insights
Assemble ideas, themes, and observations into compelling visuals through design-forward client presentations
Industry Expertise
Monitor trends across the sports, entertainment, and media landscape to keep internal team and clients abreast of key industry developments
Team / Client Management
Foster a positive and collaborative environment while managing a team of
Performance & Insights professionals
Lead and manage multiple client relationships with a steadfast commitment to exceptional service
Drive project management efforts, determining critical milestones, and reporting progress in a timely manner
What We’re Looking For
3-5+ years of relevant experience in data and analytics, market research, or management consulting
Direct experience in the sport, entertainment, or marketing / partnership sector
Experience translating quantitative and qualitative data into actionable insights and recommendations
Strong ability to communicate information to decision-makers and senior-level directors through storytelling, specifically in the form of data-visualization and written presentations
High level of initiative and innate curiosity, adaptable to high performance in both an independent and team setting.
Strong attention to detail and highly organized, with a proven ability to multi-task and self-manage to meet deadlines and handle competing priorities
A client-first mindset, able to build confidence through exceptional client and project management
Demonstrated ability to lead people through successful coaching, communication, and empathy
Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills particularly required for PowerPoint and Excel
Experience or working knowledge of syndicated research tools (e.g., Nielsen, Vividata, Scarborough, GWI, Meltwater, etc.)
Experience leading the development of consumer / customer research
Educational background is a nice to have but not mandatory - Bachelor’s degree, diploma or certificate in marketing and/or business or MBA
Base salary range: $70-80k CAD, plus bonus potential if applicable for role.
Actual base salary is dependent on several factors including but not limited to; market dynamics, location and region, experience, specialized skills/training (education), level of responsibility, budgetary considerations, tenure at the company (for current employees), etc. The salary range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Compensation decisions are dependent on circumstances of each role.
