Do you thrive at the intersection of strategy, execution, and performance insights? As our new Senior Manager for Portfolio & Performance Management, you will play a key role in giving Global Operations a clear, data-driven view of what we invest in, how we execute, and how we perform.
You will lead a small team while actively shaping portfolio governance, performance management, and decision-making across a fast-paced, international organization. You will be building and shaping this function from building blocks of varying maturity levels, not inheriting a finished function ready to go. If you are motivated by turning complexity into clarity and enabling better business decisions, we encourage you to read on.
The team you will be part of
You will join the team at GN’s Headquarters in Ballerup, Denmark and report to the Head of Strategy and Management Office. Here you will join a group of 25+ colleagues across other excellence and strategy execution domains working closely with stakeholders across Global Operations and GN.
We come from many different educational, national and professional backgrounds and in all shapes, ages and sizes and truly value strength in diverse perspectives. A collaborative mindset, a pragmatic approach and a bias to make a true difference is needed to thrive in this team.
Your contribution is appreciated, and you will
Own and govern the Global Operations strategic portfolio, ensuring transparency on priorities, progress, risks, resource allocation, and dependencies
Lead the PMO team and take and active role in driving consistent project and program management practices and reporting across Global Operations
Collaborate closely with functional PMOs, program and project managers, and key counterparts in DDI and R&D to strengthen alignment, governance, and delivery
Own the reporting data foundation ensuring reliable and accessible data for performance management
Enable self-service analytics and deliver dashboards and scorecards that support leadership decision-making
Own and develop the performance management framework, connecting strategic priorities and portfolio with operational KPIs and outcomes
Actively explore how AI can improve and accelerate reporting, PMO practices, and portfolio insights
You are expected to lead the team as well as actively contribute as a subject matter expert. This requires both strong prioritization skills and comfort switching between roles.
To succeed in the role, we imagine that you
Have a background that credibly spans both portfolio/PMO management and data/BI
Have the ability and the experience turning business and portfolio data into true insights for decision-makers
Proven experience in portfolio or PMO management in a fast-paced, cross-functional organization
Hands-on experience with Power BI/Fabric or equivalent BI tools and data infrastructures as well as the ability to bridge business needs and data solutions
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into clear leadership narratives
Experience designing and/or operating performance management frameworks (KPIs, OKRs, or equivalent)
Comfortable operating in a transformation environment with ambiguity and shifting priorities
Demonstrated leadership experience leading an international team across multiple time zones
You are equally comfortable in front of a dataset and in front of a senior leadership team. Translating complex data into clear decisions and representing your team’s work credibly to senior stakeholders is not something you stretch to do, it’s where you naturally operate.
Fluent in English both in writing and orally
We encourage you to apply
If you are strong on most of the above and highly motivated by the challenge, we encourage you to apply. We highly value a mindset, motivation, and energy, that aligns with our core values, to not only ensure growth for you, but for your team and the wider GN organization as well.
We are focused on an inclusive recruitment process
All applicants will receive equal consideration for employment. As such, we encourage you to submit your CV without a photo to ensure an equal and fair application process.
