Job Summary
The Senior Manager, Procurement Support & Logistics leads the operational execution, governance, and continuous improvement of procurement support activities across TerraForm Power's renewable energy development and construction portfolio. This role serves as the central coordinator for competitive sourcing processes, procurement documentation, contract execution workflows, and logistics management for owner-furnished equipment across utility-scale wind, solar, and battery storage projects.
Working closely with Procurement, Project Delivery, Engineering, Legal, EPC contractors, OEMs, and logistics providers, the Senior Manager ensures procurement activities are executed consistently, efficiently, and in alignment with project schedules, contractual commitments, and corporate governance requirements.
In addition to managing day-to-day execution, this role drives standardization of procurement processes, develops enterprise procurement tools and templates, and provides leadership in improving procurement operations across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement Operations Leadership
- Lead procurement support activities across multiple concurrent renewable energy projects.
- Oversee competitive sourcing events, including RFP development, bid administration, evaluation coordination, and supplier communications.
- Establish standardized procurement processes, documentation, and governance practices.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance procurement efficiency, quality, and compliance.
- Contract Administration & Procurement Governance
- Lead contract execution workflows, including negotiation coordination, document control, redline management, approvals, and execution tracking.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with internal controls, SOX requirements, and corporate procurement policies.
- Manage supplier onboarding activities, including NDAs, due diligence, and procurement documentation.
- Logistics & Supply Chain Execution
- Lead logistics coordination for owner-furnished equipment across utility-scale wind, solar, and battery energy storage projects.
- Oversee coordination between EPC contractors, OEMs, freight providers, customs brokers, and project teams to ensure timely equipment delivery.
- Monitor manufacturing schedules, shipping milestones, customs documentation, storage requirements, and site readiness.
- Identify logistics risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize schedule and commercial impacts.
- Portfolio Reporting & Stakeholder Management
- Develop executive-level dashboards and reporting related to procurement status, equipment deliveries, procurement milestones, and logistics performance.
- Provide procurement reporting and analytics to Project Delivery leadership.
- Partner closely with Procurement, Legal, Engineering, Finance, Tax, and Construction teams throughout project execution.
- Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
- Maintain enterprise procurement templates, playbooks, document repositories, and procurement trackers.
- Lead implementation of best practices across procurement support and logistics functions.
- Identify opportunities to improve procurement systems, workflows, reporting, and operational performance.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Logistics, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 8-12 years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain, logistics, contract administration, or capital project delivery, preferably supporting utility-scale renewable energy or other large infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex procurement processes, contract administration, equipment logistics, and cross-functional project execution.
- Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive continuous improvement across multiple concurrent projects.
- Experience working with EPC contractors, OEMs, logistics providers, ERP/procurement systems, document management platforms, and project collaboration tools.
- Familiarity with SOX controls, procurement governance, and international logistics or customs processes is preferred.
Compensation: $137,000 - $171,000; bonus eligible
