Reporting to the Senior Director of Product Management for the Clutch & Brake Division, part of the Industrial Powertrain Solutions Segment, the Senior Manager of Product Management plays a key role in supporting the overall performance and growth of the business. This role is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing assigned product lines throughout their life cycles, including new product development and lifecycle optimization, to improve profitability while aligning with changing market, financial, and business objectives.

The Clutch & Brake Division’s Overrunning & Torque Limiter product lines represent approximately $100M in revenue and include the Formsprag, Marland, and Stieber brands. This product family supports the division’s strategic initiatives in Aerospace and serves key markets such as metals, mining, and power transmission equipment. The Senior Manager contributes to advancing these initiatives through effective product management practices and cross-functional alignment.

This position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams including product development, sales, marketing, and operations. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader who operates with a global perspective, effectively influences without direct authority, and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role supports decision-making and execution of initiatives aimed at maintaining strong customer satisfaction and expanding market share.

The Senior Manager of Product Management leads and develops an established team, providing direction, prioritization, and performance oversight. The team operates globally across geographies, manufacturing sites, markets, and brands, and is responsible for executing key Regal Rexnord tools and frameworks, including 80/20 and Product Line Simplification (PLS), to drive focus, efficiency, and growth within the function.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage the lifecycle of assigned product lines, including contribution to strategic planning, product definition, launch execution, and end-of-life decisions, in alignment with divisional objectives.
  • Represent the voice of the customer within the function by partnering with Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to translate market requirements into product plans, training materials, and launch activities.
  • Develop and execute short- and long-term product line roadmaps, ensuring alignment with broader segment and divisional strategies.
  • Drive product line simplification initiatives within the function of improving efficiency and deliver cost savings, partnering with cross-functional teams to implement changes.
  • Coordinate and facilitate Innovation and Voice of Customer (VOC) activities, synthesizing insights into business cases and product requirements to support decision-making.
  • Recommend pricing strategies and sales policies for product lines, partnering with leadership to align with overall business objectives and ensuring effective execution across the division.
  • Maintain working knowledge of the competitive landscape, including competitor products and pricing, and share insights to support strategic and tactical decisions.
  • Collaborate with segment and division product management peers to identify and advance product development opportunities and ensure alignment across portfolios.
  • Evaluate potential partnerships and external relationships that enhance current offerings or address portfolio gaps, providing recommendations to leadership.
  • Conduct 80/20 analyses across products, customers, and markets to identify focus areas and growth opportunities, and support execution of related initiatives.
  • Apply 80/20 principles and continuous improvement practices within product management processes; contribute to cross-functional project teams to enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Support Sales and Customer Service teams with product expertise, technical guidance, and customer issue resolution as needed.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including R&D, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Support to execute plans that achieve revenue targets and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Supervise and develop team members (as applicable), including setting priorities, managing performance, and contributing to hiring, development, and reward decisions within the function.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must hold a unique combination of skills and abilities. The ideal candidate will be a proven leader with in-depth industry experience, exceptional project management skills, and a true passion to win.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in related Engineering field (MBA preferred but not required)
  • 5+ years of commercial experience in marketing, product management and/or sales
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience leading teams and/or projects; direct people management experience preferred
  • Effective negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to achieve outcomes across cross-functional teams
  • Ability to lead through influence without direct supervisory authority
  • Drives execution and is results and action oriented
  • Good technical experience, including managing multiple priorities simultaneously, meeting deadlines, and tracking progress against objectives
  • Capable of both strategic thinking and tactical execution
  • Ability to work in a non-structured environment while maintaining personal accountability for achieving defined objectives
  • Ability to communicate effectively with existing and prospective customers utilizing appropriate industry terms
  • Sound judgment and decision-making ability, including the confidence to make timely and well-informed decisions
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective internal and external networks to support business objectives

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with the 80/20 process and product line simplification
  • Global experience
  • Skills and experience around financial (and other metrics) analysis, associated with all aspects of a product
  • Relevant industry experience

Travel: Global Travel (up to 40%) as required

Salary Range: $120,000 - $145,000 role is bonus eligible
