The Opportunity

Hyatt Hotels Corporation seeks an enthusiastic Senior Manager, Quality Assurance to join our Digital team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Digital Product, Engineering, and other technology teams to strengthen quality across Hyatt’s digital products and platforms. You’ll be instrumental in establishing and advancing quality assurance standards, practices, and procedures that improve product quality, reduce testing time, and support the successful delivery of digital initiatives.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role. You will remain actively involved in development efforts, including validating IT processes, analyzing data to support business cases and proposed projects, and contributing to systems requirements. You will apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify risks, improve testing practices, and maximize the value of Hyatt’s technology investments. Through regular monitoring, communication, and reporting of quality risks and project status, you will help coordinate work across product and engineering teams and ensure changes are delivered on time and with a high degree of quality.

The Role

•Partner early with Product, Design, Engineering, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements, identify risks, define acceptance criteria, and build quality into the software development lifecycle.

•Establish practical quality standards, test strategies, quality gates, and release-readiness criteria for new development, enhancements, integrations, and production changes.

•Advance a balanced test approach that includes exploratory, functional, integration, API, UI, regression, performance, accessibility, and security testing, using automation where it improves speed, coverage, and confidence.

•Guide the adoption of reliable automated testing and continuous integration / continuous delivery practices, including test data, environments, reporting, and maintenance of test suites.

•Define and communicate meaningful quality measures, such as defect trends, escaped defects, test effectiveness, automation reliability, cycle time, and release risk, and use insights to prioritize improvement.

•Lead quality risk assessment and release-readiness discussions across multiple workstreams; clearly communicate test progress, results, dependencies, risks, and recommended actions to audiences at all levels.

•Use production feedback, incidents, and post-release learnings to strengthen prevention, observability, test coverage, and continuous improvement.

•Manage, coach, and develop QA and/or quality engineering team members; set priorities, balance workload, delegate effectively, and build a collaborative, inclusive, and accountable team culture.

•Evangelize quality practices across the broader technology organization through coaching, communities of practice, knowledge sharing, and practical learning sessions.

•Evaluate and introduce tools, processes, and ways of working that improve change quality, delivery flow, team effectiveness, and quality of life.

•Facilitate requirements and solution discussions when business or system needs are unclear, helping teams reach shared understanding and sound technical decisions.
