# Sr. Manager - Quality ## Company Overview *Not specified.* ## Job Summary The **Senior Manager - Quality** at Nipha Limited (FS) is responsible for leading and managing the incoming quality inspection processes, ensuring compliance with specifications, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role plays a critical part in maintaining high-quality standards across raw materials, components, and manufacturing processes, contributing to the organization’s goal of zero-defect manufacturing and customer satisfaction. ## Responsibilities - Lead incoming quality inspection of raw materials, bought-out parts, castings, forgings, and subcontracted components to ensure compliance with specifications. - Establish and maintain inspection standards, sampling plans, and acceptance criteria for incoming materials. - Develop and implement in-process quality control systems, including First Piece Approval and process checkpoints. - Monitor supplier quality performance through PPM analysis and drive supplier quality improvement initiatives. - Conduct supplier quality audits and manage supplier approval processes via PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) and APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning). - Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO standards and customer requirements. - Implement preventive quality tools such as PFMEA, Control Plans, Layered Process Audits (LPA), and lead root cause analysis using methodologies like 8D, Fishbone Diagram, and Why-Why Analysis. - Drive initiatives to reduce internal rejection, rework, customer complaints, and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ). - Support New Product Development (NPD) by establishing inspection plans, process capability studies, and quality validation activities. - Ensure accurate documentation of quality records, inspection results, blocked stock, and quality stock transactions in SAP. - Support internal, customer, and certification audits, ensuring timely closure of audit observations. - Lead, mentor, and develop the incoming and in-process quality team through structured training and competency development. - Promote a proactive quality culture across the plant by collaborating with Production, Supply Chain Management (SCM), Engineering, and Maintenance teams. - Willingness to travel PAN India for supplier audits. ## Qualifications - **Educational Qualification:** B.Tech in Mechanical, Automobile, or Industrial Engineering. - **Technical Skills:** - In-depth knowledge of incoming quality inspection, process control, and quality standards. - Experience with PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Layered Process Audits. - Proficiency in root cause analysis tools such as 8D, Fishbone Diagram, and Why-Why Analysis. - Familiarity with ISO standards and Quality Management Systems (QMS). - Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems for quality data management. - Strong understanding of supplier quality management, including audits and approval processes. - **Soft Skills:** Leadership, analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and team development skills. ## Preferred Skills - Experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry. - Knowledge of advanced quality tools and methodologies. - Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement. - Willingness to travel PAN India for supplier audits. ## Experience - **Experience Required:** 12-15 years in quality management within manufacturing, preferably in automotive, industrial, or related sectors. - Proven track record of leading quality inspection, supplier quality management, and implementing quality systems. ## Environment - The role involves working in a manufacturing plant environment. - The position may require travel across India for supplier audits. - The work setting is primarily in-office and on-site at manufacturing facilities, with a focus on quality inspection and audit activities. ## Salary - **Gross Salary Range:** ₹90,000 – ₹1,00,000 per month (approximate). ## GrowthOpportunities *Not specified.* ## Benefits *Not specified.*
