Senior Manager, Regulatory Compliance - Mercer Super
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Line 2 Risk and Compliance team at Mercer Super. This role will be based in Melbourne or Sydney. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
This role supports the Head of Compliance to help Mercer Super navigate a complex regulatory environment and deliver positive, compliant and risk-aware outcomes for members. You will join the team during an important period of uplift across risk management and compliance, contributing to framework development, regulatory change activity and high-quality compliance support across the business.
We will count on you to:
- Lead and support a direct report, the Compliance Manager, Regulatory Compliance
- Maintain the Compliance Management Framework and related compliance policies
- Provide compliance advice, review and challenge to the Line 1 Risk & Controls team and business stakeholders
- Oversee key compliance processes including conflicts management, obligations management and regulatory change
- Complete due diligence reviews of externally facing regulated documents and contribute to internal and external reporting
- Build effective relationships with key stakeholders and work collaboratively across Mercer Super and the Marsh Pacific compliance function
What you need to have:
- Demonstrated experience in a compliance or legal function within financial services, ideally including superannuation
- Experience in governance, risk and compliance practices within a regulated environment
- Ability to assess regulatory obligations and provide practical advice to stakeholders
- Written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across the organisation

- Experience in superannuation compliance and familiarity with regulatory obligations relevant to a superannuation fund
- Experience maintaining an obligations library and supporting obligation owners to manage and assess their compliance arrangements
- Tertiary qualifications in law or a business-related discipline
