Senior Manager - Research & Development - Silicone Sealants & PU Adhesives

Role Overview:

As a Senior Manager - R&D, you will spearhead the innovation roadmap for our high-performance chemical portfolio, specifically focusing on Silicone Sealants and PU Adhesives. You will lead a high-caliber technical team to translate complex market requirements into robust product formulations, ensuring our solutions maintain a competitive edge in the industrial and construction sectors.

This role involves seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality assurance, and sales to drive the entire product lifecycle from concept to commercialization. Your work will directly influence our market share and technical reputation, delivering high-value, reliable adhesive solutions that address the evolving challenges of our global client base.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the end-to-end New Product Development process for Silicone Sealants and PU Adhesives to ensure timely market entry and technical superiority.

- Oversee advanced product formulation and testing protocols to enhance the performance, durability, and cost-efficiency of our existing chemical portfolio.

- Partner with the manufacturing team to scale up laboratory-proven formulations into full-scale production batches while maintaining stringent quality standards.

- Conduct in-depth technical analysis and competitive benchmarking to identify emerging trends in Engineering Adhesives and Epoxy technologies.

- Mentor a team of researchers and technicians, fostering a culture of scientific rigor and continuous improvement to meet aggressive business growth targets.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrate deep technical expertise in polymer chemistry, specifically within the domains of Silicone Sealants, PU Adhesives, and Epoxy systems, with a proven track record of successful product launches.

- Exhibit strong project management capabilities to navigate complex R&D timelines and manage stakeholder expectations across different business units.

- Possess excellent communication skills to translate complex technical data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders and leadership teams.

- Maintain a proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to adapt to the fast-paced, on-site manufacturing environment at our Ahmedabad facility.

- Hold a Master's degree or PhD in Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, reflecting a strong academic foundation in material science.

- Showcase the ability to work effectively in an on-site setting, collaborating closely with plant operations to ensure seamless product integration.
