The firm supports clients across the private sector, public sector and government-linked entities in Kuwait and the wider Gulf region through its assurance, tax and advisory practices.

Role Overview
RSM in Kuwait is looking to appoint a Senior Manager to its Assurance practice. The role involves managing statutory audit engagements from planning through to completion, and working closely with audit teams and clients across a range of industries. This is an in-office position based at the RSM in Kuwait office in Sharq, Kuwait.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, execute and oversee statutory audit engagements across a portfolio of clients, in line with International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Review audit working papers and financial statements prepared by the engagement team, and discuss findings with engagement partners
  • Supervise, coach and support audit managers, seniors and associates throughout the engagement cycle
  • Manage engagement budgets, timelines and re-sourcing to support the delivery of audits within agreed plans
  • Maintain client relationships and act as a day-to-day point of contact for engagement matters
  • Monitor developments in IFRS, ISA and relevant industry regulations, and apply these to engagement work
  • Identify audit and business risks, and communicate these to engagement partners promptly
  • Support business development activities, including proposals and client meetings
  • Contribute to the training and professional development of audit staff

Work Arrangement
This is an in-office role based at the RSM in Kuwait office in Sharq, Kuwait.

Requirements

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of relevant experience, primarily in statutory audit
  • Professional qualification such as CPA, CA, ACCA or equivalent
  • Prior experience with a Big Four firm is an advantage
  • Working knowledge of IFRS and ISA
  • Experience managing audit teams and multiple concurrent engagements
  • Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage

  • Clear written and verbal communication, including report writing
  • Ability to build collaborative working relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Sound judgment in identifying and addressing audit and accounting issues
  • Organized approach to managing competing engagement deadlines
