Senior Manager Software Engineering
You will lead and evolve the Credit onboarding engineering team, owning the platform used to onboard new credit customers. You will define strategy with Product, Data, Risk, Compliance, and Operations; deliver secure, resilient, highly available systems; and drive AI-first automation. You will set engineering standards, lead architecture decisions, improve planning and execution, mentor and recruit engineers, and remain close to system design and the codebase.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end Credit onboarding platform for new credit customer onboarding
- Drive platform resiliency, scalability, and operational excellence
- Drive AI-first automation for dispute classification, evidence management, and prioritization
- Partner with Product to shape the roadmap, sequencing, and delivery strategy
- Lead and mentor engineers to improve velocity and system reliability
- Establish engineering standards for quality, reliability, testing, and documentation
- Improve planning, sprint hygiene, and measurable outcomes
- Lead architectural discussions and make technical decisions
- Stay close to the codebase and system design while empowering teams to execute
- Recruit and develop engineering talent
- Create a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement
Requirements
- 8–12+ years of engineering experience
- 4+ years managing senior engineers or managers
- Experience building and scaling distributed systems in cloud-native environments
- Strong background in microservices architecture and high-availability systems
- Ability to operate in regulated or compliance-sensitive environments
- Demonstrated record of raising engineering standards and improving execution discipline
