Senior Manager, Strategic Operations & Analytics
The Senior Manager, Strategic Operations & Analytics is responsible for leading high-impact operational initiatives, improving business performance, and building the analytical capabilities needed to support executive decision-making. This role serves as a strategic partner to Operations, Finance, Sales, IT, Supply Chain, and senior leadership by converting business objectives into executable plans, measurable results, and scalable operating processes.
Core Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Partner with executive leadership to define, prioritize, and execute strategic business initiatives.
- Translate company objectives into clear operational roadmaps, milestones, ownership models, and performance measures.
- Lead cross-functional programs that improve profitability, scalability, service performance, and organizational effectiveness.
- Track progress against strategic goals and ensure alignment across departments, business leaders, and functional teams.
Operations Leadership
- Identify, design, and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, and operational scalability.
- Lead transformation initiatives focused on productivity, quality, service levels, cost control, and customer experience.
- Develop operational performance frameworks, including KPIs, scorecards, dashboards, and accountability routines.
- Champion continuous improvement practices and disciplined project execution across the organization.
Business Analytics & Intelligence
- Build and maintain enterprise dashboards, KPI reporting, and executive performance visibility tools.
- Analyze operational, financial, labor, inventory, customer, and market data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Deliver actionable insights and recommendations that support strategic planning, resource allocation, and business performance management.
- Develop forecasting models, scenario analyses, and performance projections to support operational and financial planning.
- Improve reporting consistency, data integrity, and governance across business functions.
Financial Performance Management
- Partner with Finance to support budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and long-range planning activities.
- Analyze revenue drivers, operational costs, labor utilization, overhead absorption, material usage, scrap, and profitability trends.
- Develop business cases and financial models to support make-versus-buy decisions, capital investments, and process improvement initiatives.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Build strong partnerships across Operations, Finance, Sales, Supply Chain, Technology, Quality, and Facilities teams.
- Lead analysts, project managers, and operational stakeholders through complex initiatives and structured problem-solving efforts.
- Present business cases, performance results, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
- Promote a culture of accountability, ownership, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making.
